So, I just bought a 2019 TRD Off-Road back in December. Soon after purchase, I noticed that the laminate between the two pieces of glass had a deformation that was directly in my line of sight (didn't notice it sooner because most of the driving thus far had been at night when it was much less noticeable). Dealership has been very good and immediately ordered a factory replacement without any argument; however, after the replacement a couple weeks ago, I noticed that it wasn't sealed tightly on the bottom passenger's side and was getting wind noise at higher speeds. Also had moisture in both bottom corners. The other issue was that my PCS system stopped working (I'm aware of the recall but it just seems convenient that it was exaclty after they fiddled with the windshield camera, which it sounds like works in conjunction with the grill sensor)

Any way, the glass guy just looked again and said it needed touch up caulking around the outer portion and did so. PCS recall work was done and is supposedly working now.

Questions are, (1) has anyone else had windshield replacement issues so far regarding all of the technology and junk tied to the windshield?

    And

    (2) curious to see if the particular design of this windshield has caused anyone else leaking/moisture issues.

    Thanks.

I had my windshield replaced for free a few weeks back on my 2016 Sport due to laminate and a chip on the inside above the tint line. So far no issues with what you are reporting.

Thank you, Sir. Just picked it up today and the noise issue definitely seems fixed; however, I'm a little disappointed he only caulked the passenger's side rather than the whole bottom of the glass. He said he thought the moisture in both corners had all come from the one side, but I don't see why he wouldn't just caulk everything to be sure. Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye on the moisture issue, but it's definitely back to a quiet cab.

They did the PCS recall as well but I don't see how what they did is going to keep the grill sensor dry. They put a rubber like sheet around the sensor (actually a different sensor and different color plug). Wires are wrapped but the plug-in and about an inch of wiring are still completely exposed. Just tried it out and I know the PCS still isn't working at all. I can sit my garbage can in the street and hit it 30 mph without a beep (no breaking or turning wheel as the manual says). I'd personally keep it off all the time but if I had to pay a butt load for the unavoidable bells and whistles I want them working...
