ok i'm seriously considering buying a pair of what i believe to be gen 3 headlights new in the box. so i was wondering if i bought the gen 3 headlights with out the shity hid option that so many people are selling on the web. so the headlights would come with halogen bulbs, but the question is i want to add phillips 4300 bulbs and denso ballasts and possibly even a set of those clear projectors, but that is just an idea at this point. i did the bhlm on my factory headlights and i resealed them with silicon. i know i should have used the 3m windowweld but i thought i would never take them apart again lol but now this. any help feedback or ideas other than doing a complete retro fit with a pair of regular egay lights would be much appreciated.

You can add HIDs to it, but beware. The plastic lens on these headlights are weak compared to factory. Adding HIDs will create more heat and could melt the lens. You can still take apart your headlights btw. Or, you can trade your BHLMs for some stockers. A lot of members are looking to do that.

do you think it would be possible to seperate the lights i have now even though i used silicon lol? and when you mean plastic lens do you mean the actual projector or the lens of the actual headlight itself? i know that they are not up to oem quality but they are offering a shity hid kit with them so the gen 3 style of aftermarket lights will melt if i install the denso ballasts and phillips bulbs? also i have seen the cut off on the eagle eye ones and its scary looking lol is it going to be the same with these or is the gen 3 different or more defined.

sorry to ask so many questions but this is something i want to remedy sooner rather than later and aside from whats best to buy at least considering the ballasts and bulbs, but other than that i have no idea what the hell i'm talking about lol.

Yes, you can still separate them. Or, make your life easier and trade a local member. The plastic lens as in the headlight assembly. The projectors use glass.
