It’s much more than labor costs, nearly everything has gone up. Labor is still a huge factor, just not all of the equation.

Oh yeah. I meant 234,768. LOL. I posted sales numbers of all 3rd gens. What's interesting about your website, RicerRabbit, is that to date the 2024 has some of the lowest sales figures. Guess people don't want to pay a premium for a taco.

If you believe the BLM and think inflation was just 3.4% then I don't know what to tell you. I believe my wallet and my eyes.

It could also mean that Toyota is just not building much yet, which can happen with a new generation.

Basically my point is, there could be many factors

Yeah, I don't think I explained myself well. It happens the older I get.

Inflation, which just for kicks let's say is 3.4%, and corporations raising prices because it doesn't hurt their bottom line, which let's say is 10%. So, in reality, the inflation we feel in the real world is closer to 14%. I think my point is the same as yours. Shit is expensive and while we get hosed, the larger corporations are raking in record profits.

Don’t they fail to include things like energy, electricity, and food in core inflation? They pretty much cherry pick all the stuff that you’re getting bent over on.

It’s kind of like we have record employment because people are now having to take two jobs to make ends meet and we don’t count people who don’t bother looking for work.

If that's true, then that number definitely needs to be higher. Much higher. Funny/not funny how they can use statistics to spin the truth.

On paper they exclude those because of their volatility. However, the bureau has an incentive to skew the data lower, to suppress the wages of public-sector unions with cost-of-living (COLA) adjustments written into their contracts.

yeah, always been a funny thing about just reporting people on unemployment as the unemployed. Always been that way, always been wrong. Prob. scare the shit out of us to hear the truth and not just now. The '80s were horrible.

By the .gov #s, if you're not "actively seeking employment" you're not unemployed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I's hazard a guess that not one out of 20 people even know that, and I'm probably being generous with that number.
    Crazy shit.
