I was looking for new leafs that would provide better load handling and a mild lift. I found these on Craigslist from a shop that bought them as replacements for a customer who didn't like the idea of a slight lift. Generally they go for $170/side plus shipping.

    Put them on tonight.

    Measurements:
    RR Before: 21-1/4"
    LR Before: 21"
    RR After: 24"
    LR After: 23 3/4"

So, after 10 miles of driving I am seeing a 2-3/4" lift in the rear. I expect (hope) this settles a little. Only weight in the back is the tonneau cover at the moment (so basically nothing).

Currently I'm on the stock TRD Bilsteins, but have 5100s and OME 884s on order from Wheeler's to level this out and I'll see them next week. There is quite a bit of rake now.

So far, I'm very happy with how it rides. Feels much tighter and more stiff, but not harsh. Haven't tried a load yet, but with 135 lb me bouncing on the back bumper it barely budges. The original non-TSB three leaf packs moved much more.

    Here's how it sits now:

I've got the wheelers hd springs and my truck sits just the same as yours does. I also ordered 884 springs with 5100 shocks that I plan to install in the spring at the 0 setting. Truck looks good. I also installed 5100 shocks in the rear and I'm a little worried they won't allow maximum flex. Wheelers recommended them to me with their springs, so I hope they were right. Enjoy the new suspension.

My original plan was to go with the wheeler's springs, but these popped up on Craigslist and I grabbed them. I'm installing the shocks and springs late next week, so I'll let you know how it goes.

A little rake is okay with me, but right now it's kind of extreme so that should help. I actually notice it leaning forward just driving it now.

It's also possible my stock 3-leafs were sagging quite a bit, but I didn't think they were too bad.

Sounds good. Let me know how it turns out. I'm anxious to get my front suspension in, but it's too cold to wrench right now.

I should have them Wednesday. Hopefully will get them in Thursday or Friday. I was worried the 884s may be too much, but the front is about 3" lower at the moment and the rear springs settled another 1/4"

So, I think I'll still have a bit of rake but that's better than having the front higher than the back.

Settled a half inch now, so I'm at 23-1/4 LR and 23-1/2 RR. 884s should be about perfect.

Did you take one of the leafs out or installed the whole pack also did you get any kind of squeaking from them after install ?

No I'm running all 5 leafs and there has been no squeaking at all. I used the supplied poly bushings and grease. I also got lucky and have no vibrations at all.

Hopefully putting the 5100s and 884s in tomorrow morning, then I'll let it settle over the week and have it aligned Friday. This week it was just too cold to be messing with it. I'll definitely post pictures and measurements once I do that!

Finally got the 5100s on all four corners with 884s in the front. Got 2" in the front. It's almost level...back end is very slightly higher which is my preference anyway. Handles and rides dramatically better than stock. I think I ended up with 2" in the back as well rather than the 1.5" I expected, which is why the back is still a bit higher.

I'll take some photos today and get final measurements. Last night it was too dark by the time it was done. It looks great. Someone who didn't know Tacomas would think it was stock. It looks the way a DCLB should have come from the factory.

Thanks! I'm happy with how it came out. Should be that height with that suspension from the factory IMO.

Truck looks great man! I'm thinking about going with a similar setup. Do you recommend the general HD leafs? 4 or 3? Any specific advice on the install? It's these right?

    http://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/90-297hd.htm

I'll be putting the Billstein adjustable struts on the front and deciding between 884 and 885. Any input on that? Are the billstein rear struts recommended on the back?

I replied to your other thread.

So far, I'm very happy with the leafs. They're not difficult to install. Pull the wheel, pull the u-bolts, pull a bolt at each end, pull leaf pack, replace with new one, repeat.

My understanding is the non-HD pack will not give you any lift. You'd have to contact General springs to be sure, though. I got 2" last I measured with the HD pack, but I'm not sure how much sag I had from my non-TSB OEM leafs with 70k on them.

Another option is these: EDIT: I am running 884s and 5100s on all four corners. It doesn't sit level, but maintains the factory look (back is slightly higher). I primarily chose to run 884s so I didn't have to worry about UCAs, and I like the back a bit higher anyway.
