Wishful thinking, bet you that's hwy, I'll pass, a 3 mpg increase isn't worth the negative equity on a trade.

No it definitely would not be worth trading a brand new truck for a brand new truck.

Have you ever honestly mentioned trading in for a 2016?

No offense, but I'm smiling every time you post another reason you won't own a 2016 like it's a critical discovery that has swayed your decision. Something tells me your track record combined with your comments, doth does protest too much, means eventually one will end up in your driveway. Just a humorous observation.

I think 24 mpg is low. I think at least 25.

In 2020 maybe. If you read my "track record" as you call it the only reason I have a 2015 is because I made the mistake of trading in my 2011 for a 2014 Silverado and wanted back into a Tacoma, best way to do that was new. Since you so diligently spent time reading my posts you would have also came across the ones talking about saving money, owning a house, etc as priorities right now. Your observation isn't very deductive or sound, but that's my humorous observation. Bet you my 2015 there wont be a 2016 in my driveway anytime soon.

I was simply referring to the way every time you have a new complaint you seem to react as if it's a critical piece of information that is holding you back from a 2016. Yes I remember your posts about the rest, but eating several K just last year so you could get back into a Tacoma plus your average length of ownership since 08 being about 2.5 years, makes me want to watch your posts for that shiny new 2016-2018 Tacoma in your driveway :D.

Don't get pissy just because you seem to have a secret crush on this truck and I get a little laugh out of it

If he wasn't interested in the Truck then he wouldn't be making posts on it everyday.

    Yup.

Anyways, maybe he will hold off until 2020 to buy one and then the jokes on me. My point wasn't to be insulting but to point out something that I find quite humorous.

24 wasn't a complaint, that's an improvement and much needed, I was making an observation that its not worth the jump. No secret crush, I like the side profile and interior but that front end, improved specs, but that front end is terrible, most of my complaints are simply criticism that a lot of the 3rd gen fan boys look past or deny. regardless it will be a nice truck even with that ugly ass front end.

Pretty sure there were haters when the 2nd gens came out. The front end isn't all that attractive either. The thing looks like it's about to talk to you like it was in a cartoon or something. Lol. But now since everyone has slapped a plate bumper on it, everyone loves it.

It'll probably be like the 2nd gen that in 5-6 years they will release a grill that actually looks good on it. I like the look of my 2013's front end. The earlier 2nd generation front end looks like a frowny faced cartoon like you said.

It'd have to jump to 30mpg for the new truck to be cheaper than a truck you already own unless you drove bonkers miles per year. Low fuel prices and already realized depreciation conspire to make that a nonstarter.

So......... I just got the response back from my local dealer (mountain region), and he claims they have 17 2016's on allocation with production to start at the end of August..

Good News if thats legit. Still gonna hold out for the full spec release on the 17th before I bite to hard. Looks like negotiations with the CFO may be about to heat up.
