Thanks for this. At 6:08 - another confirmation that they are not overly enthusiastic about MPG. I hope they dont mess this up.

ACSB? this is the first year for that right? i dont under stand why they would offer that since they cancelled the reg cab and i thought they did that so they would only have to make 2 frames instead of 3 but an ACSB would be the same frame as the reg cab

I'm sure he misspoke. There's no way their offering ACSB, especially after killing the reg cab. This rep doesn't seem to know the truck as well as Sweers the engineer.

No confirmation of a DCLB or more torque according to that most-recent TFL Truck video. I saw the mules being tested in DCLB configuration so I assume he just forgot to mention it when she asked about cab configurations.
Towing will go up he says. But may only go up because of the weight reduction of the truck. I will be upset if torque doesn't go up at least a smidge.

Thanks for the video link, I'm sure it has been around but I saw it here first ;)

Obviously just misspoke about the bed lengths, no big deal.

One thing he confirmed, no increase in payload (though perhaps small increase in towing capacity).

Also, for those wanting to look underneath there was a pan of the rear end where you can see exhaust and shocks.

I like it quite a bit over all. few questions i have about stuff. like the engine and a few other odd stuff, none can be answered till it hits the dealers.

My wife and I were messing with numbers this weekend trying to get a good idea of what a '16 will cost with tax, title, etc. I took the best offer I had on a '15 that I was looking at and added $3k to it. I figured that would be close. Of course wont know for a while...

Another reason for keeping the numbers under wraps is so Nissan doesn't catch wind and try to one up them with 1 extra or 5 extra horsepower.
GM was brave for being the first out of the gate with their new Colorado.

Yes I caught that also and just assume he mixed the trucks up. 6' on the AC and 5' or 6' on the DC.

He probably had to give a gazillion interviews after the reveal. Or maybe he was staring at Emme Hall's cleavage. Which I would have been. (Don't tell my wife).:D

Well it already has a rear locker, so I don't see how a locker will affect it, just different. When you say traction control, are you referring to the multi terrain select?

I heard this complaint before I started shopping for mine. It's a bigger vehicle than the 4th gen so it feels a little more sluggish for sure. The computer will adjust though if you commit to pushing the gas early on, then it won't take as much of a stomp to get it going. I filled up my '15 twice today, first was after driving all city at 18.2 mpg, second was after driving across state and back with over 90% hwy (75mph+) at 21.2 mpg. My 4runner says the average is 18.2 overall which has been pretty accurate. I don't drive slow, I just don't break hard, for more than just fuel reasons, and I think it makes a big difference. I also don't buy gas from cheap gas stations that honestly aren't any cheaper anymore.

Any aftermarket sunroof job involves a lot of bondo and a structurally compromised body. Sunroof is something you want from the factory.

For anyone who did not watch the video... He did not say they weren't enthusiastic... At all.

My guess since they are still tuning and HAVE said that they want to have the most torque in the segment is that they will wait until right before production and tune the engine so that it has the correct amount of torque which will determine what they do with HP and MPG.

    Payload near current model
    Towing slight increase

    Yes
    1. There is zero bondo involved with the installation of an aftermarket sunroof. An aftermarket sunroof is installed by simply laying out a template, cutting on the dotted line, cutting the headliner to match and screwing the trim together.

    2. There is zero structural difference between an OE sunroof and an aftermarket sunroof. Take apart an OE sunroof and you will see it is just a hole in the roof with fancier trim or a stamped / rolled edge.
