Short answer is yes, but hey it's your truck. I still have trouble believing you are going to do this to a brand new truck, but if you do I'll definitely stay tuned

He should weld a shield onto the hood and mount speakers in the box to blast that peppy 40's Captain America song from the movie too!

The shield will be on the receiver cover. A small Stark Industries logo will be on the rear window. Working with ruggedT on vinyl TRD Sport Super Soldier Edition bedside decals.

I sure hope you'll let some of us fellow Austinites check out that new ride when it arrives.

BTW, can you shed some light on the decals you mentioned?

Definitely should light a fire under Toyota's hind end.

Unlike GM, Ford had the small truck crown for a while. Stole it right from Toyota. It better light a fire under Toyota's rear. Unlike a GMC Canyon or Chevrolet Colorado and Ford Ranger will have some name behind that people trust. There are a lot of former Ranger guys on here, as well as guys who are on the fence about moving to a Ford F150, and this truck will be popular with that group.

OH OH Toyota. The company that stole the compact crown for a bit with the Focus internationally is bringing the Ranger back lol. Toyota can still stay way out ahead, but they need to play smart now and look at another powertrain update to this Tacoma to match whatever Ford is bringing to the table.

lol Not if it ends up looking anything like that photo. Looks like a crossover with a truck bed.

That's just a stock pic of the global Ranger. I doubt Ford will bring it here without updating the front end a bit. Even if it stays I like it. With a mini F150 front end I'm sold.

You can bet if Ford brings it back they will have an FX4 edition and possibly a mini Raptor (maybe call it the Hawk?)

It does have a "Ridgeline feel" to it. It definitely needs to be more of a "truck" than a "crossover" type of design here in the states to win back fans. At least the Tacoma 2.5 has THAT still.

Could you imagine a motor swap in the new Ranger with a 6.7l Powerstroke??? WOW. It could be totally possible!

Ooh OOh! Maybe Ford will have a smaller diesel designed by then??? Oh snap.

They'll have to do it everything Toyota had to do to the front of the 2016 Tacoma for pedestrian impact. Expect to see the US version with a large grill.

I see Mexican Rangers up here (visiting relatives and hitting the outlet malls), and it's a pretty robust mid-sized truck. Wouldn't take much to Americanize it.

I for one will defect if this is the case. My parents have had great luck with their "new" fords and I drove 2 rangers in high school and college.

Ford already has the small Diesel ready to go:

Check out the 3.2 L. It's already in North America and meets emissions. It's proven itself in the Transit van too.
