I think I am going to take a vacation from this forum until one of the major automotive journals announces moer Tacoma details. I like to speculate as much as the next guy, but I am getting burned out on it. See ya guys. Perhaps after the Chicago auto show.

There are several "doubters" on TW with that title that are being ... "mentored" ... so they can serve Toyota and society better in the future ..

Give your heart & soul to Toyota and ye shall live forever ....... So let it be written ..... So let it be done .... :D

Ha ha...seems we're waiting forever for any bit of info.....

Any news would be good...especially if it has to do with the trick valve stems. :)

I know many things. Of course, I forget most of them, but I know many things.

Wait, what?! 3rd Gen? I thought it was a refreshed 2nd Gen? Or a 2.5 Gen? I'm so confused.

Yes, I can't wait for more information to be released so more threads can be started on the 2016 Tacoma for people to complain on. I am beside myself in anticipation. :goingcrazy: :D

Could I have some clarification about "not bitching about the 2016 Tacoma?"

I mean, how do I know the difference between bitching and making an observation?
For example, what if I say, "By Jove, I observe a distinct absence of disk brakes on the rear of this conveyance." Am I bitching, or am I merely sharing my observations with the group?

Also, I suggest we have another sticky thread called "The thread for not saying, 'Buy a Chevrolet Colorado if you don't like the 2016 Tacoma.'"

... With a silver tongue like that ... you should have been a politician. ... :D

Pssst .. I miss the disc brakes on the back too, plus the dual purpose side mirrors with convex lens.

    It's a Prius engine?!? :stirthepot:

I think it's interesting that we're looking at a 3.5L that can function as a 4.0 (or close enough too it - Otto and Atkinson can fight it out) without sacrificing mileage. Depending on how successful this is, there may be a dual-mode revolution throughout multiple engines to meet CAFE regs. I'm sure a lot of other manufacturers will be watching to see how this engine behaves in the long run.
