I just had a dealer tell me they are not making the TRDOR with long bed. Guess I won't be shopping there...

You should do what I did with my new 2nd Gen. Get the group email address to their entire sales team. Then email and tell them you are disapointed that they lied to you, and send a pic of a 2016 TRD OR long bed. Then let them know you and your friends/family will never give them any new business again.

I did this when a Toyota salesman kept telling me it was impossible to get Toyota's all weather flooring in a Tacoma. He argued up and down that he has been a sales man for 13 years, and knows I'm wrong. Even told me you can't order a vehicle from Toyota, and the Toyota build page was wrong to include the option for Tacomas. All because he wanted to sell me something on the lot. As soon as I took delivery from another dealer on my order, I snapped some pics and sent them out, letting them know I did get the flooring and a better deal on top of it from a local competitor, who I would be recomending to everyone I know.

 

It's amazing how some salespeople know absolutely zero about the cars they sell. Don't be afraid to correct them when they are wrong. They know you are there to play ball when you do that.

Heh, I saw that SR5 this morning. It's okay. I liked the TRD OR AC they had better. Black with inferno dash and stitched seats. I'll upload pics when I can.

Here is another picture from this morning, after we cranked the front suspension up to 3" (We were only at about 2" in the first pics). We had to do a pretty agressive chop to the body mounts to make the tires fit.

 

Oh, I saw some MGM and black DCSBs (all sold) and none had the black door pillars. Saw it on a sand. Interesting.

 

Did that to my '15 last Jan/Feb, they must have copied me...

Wonder how the cv's look and did it need aftermarket UCAs

 

Talked to a dealer that said they have 8 new 2016 Tacoma's on the lot, but 6 of them are on stop-sale, but he wouldn't tell me what for.

Yes finally meet him in person this afternoon. Mr.Lee was great, the whole dealership has their shit together. They treated us very well! Ended up saving another $1,000 by the time I left the financing department along with free Tint and a free ball mount
From Austin to Laredo we put roughly 180 miles on our Taco 4 x 4 TRD OR. Drove great does pick up slow in the lower gears but no biggie just put some more metal to the petal. Drove roughly 85mph on the way back. Truck ran great. Wifey and I jammed out the whole way.
