If only it were that ez. That's one thing I really miss on this
truck, I never understood why it wasn't at least an option.

Sounds like the interior is the big attraction. I also like the lines on the 16. Still loving my 13 so cant justify the upgrade.

Same here. Love the new interior layout, giving it a more modern look with nice options  I plan to wait to the 2017/2018 before I upgrade my truck.

what can we expect to see in fuel consumption compared to the 2nd gen?
I expect someone out there knows what this new 3.5 motor might burn.
when will we get to see one on the ground and or get an order sheet?
I'm ready for a new rig and want to compare the 15 to the 16

Please. It's a universal constant...Pintos explode when you hit them, the Plymouth K was the most horrible thing on 4 wheels, and Tacomas are always better than Frontiers.

Do we really need to discuss it?

Toyota says they made the bed deeper. I wonder by how much. Would be easily to tell by comparing bed line to window line. However, Toyota says the skins on the 16 are all new, but some people say no.... So it's hard to tell difference in bed depth relative to window line. Sigh...ready for more info from Toyota already.

I think the '16 has a great new interior. Something Toyota definitely needs in the Tacoma if they want to stay up to date with GM, although I think the Colorado and Canyon are crap compared the quality of the Tacoma. The exterior looks nice but I don't think it's as good as it could be. A lot of guys are probably bitching about it though because they may be like me and just bought a '15 or have bought one in the past 2-3 years and are trying to justify why they don't want or need a new one. Who knows though. My final verdict on it is that I wish I could replace my current interior with the '16 and keep the '15 exterior. But that's never gonna happen so overall I'm pretty happy with mine, no need for a change.

While I won't be getting one (I'm happy with my 2nd gen), I am looking forward to hearing real world reviews of the new engine in conditions other than city driving and cruising.

I'm not sure they've even looked at it gauging from their reactions.

I finished watching Motorweek, and this week they covered the NAIAS. They showed about 20 seconds of Tacoma. That's it.

It's like cowbell. I got a fever, and the only prescription is more 2016 Tacoma.
