Another question I had... that front air dam. The TRD Off-Road does not have it for better off-roading capabilities... fine... but can it be easily installed if I want to maximize mpg? Meaning, do I have to drill holes or everything is there to install it without modifications to the underside of the front bumper?

    Flame suit on... :crapstorm:

You sir are sadly mistaken, and need to catch up on some back-episodes of Sesame Street.

My first thought when I saw your photos. Can't wait to see it in the flesh. I will reach out to the dealer to see when they get one, even if it is not on the setup that I am looking for. Just to look at the color.

I was just looking at the different models mpg estimates on Toyota's build site. The sport has basically the same exact gas mileage as the OR so making it more like the sport with the air damn and such probably won't help. My question is, how does the limited get better gas mileage? The only thing I could figure as far as physical shape of the outside of the truck is that they don't offer it with a long bed and they come with different tires. So the bed length changes the mpg that much or am I missing something?

Air dam and tonneau cover do provide some assistance, but it's maybe 1 empeegee at best. Maybe 2, depending on tires.

I plan on getting a tonneau, I am sure people will keep posting their results as more trucks come out.

I have it coming on my truck. My brother has a bakflip on his F150, and says he feels the difference. Much less drag.

Well.... gave my info to three dealers... let's see what they can find...

Here is what I am looking for:

    1. 7544 - TRD OFF ROAD DOUBLE CAB 4X4 V6 AUTO Short Bed
    2. Color:
    • 1st choice: 4X0 - Inferno (Orange) with Black/Orange, Fabric Seat Trim or
    • 2nd choice: 1G3 - Magnetic Grey Metallic with Graphite w/Gun Metal, Fabric Seat Trim
    3. FP - OR/Sport Prem & Tech Pkg (JBL/DC Only/No M/T) With or without JBL Audio (FP or HH). So either Premium & Technology Package is fine with me...
    4. TO - Towing Package - seems all V6 already have this added to them...
    5. CT - All Weather Mats (Door Sills)
    6. 7T - Bed Extender
    7. TC - Tonneau Cover. I know some come already with this... either way is fine with me. I much prefer the Roll-N-Lock Tonneau Cover...
    8. R2 - 5" Oval Tube Step Black or the RB - Cast Aluminum Running Board . I really do not like the Predator option...
    9. MF - Mudguards
    10. DR - Roof Rail (w/ Crossbars). May never use them, but I just think that they look cool and I like the fact that you just move them to the sides when not in use. One less thing to have to find storage for.

Installed my first dimple then removed it.
The black/orange interior looks good. The black sport I looked at before I got mine had the black/orange interior. I would also recommend the JBL audio. It sounds great. Can't say anything about the non JBL system, but since everything is integrated with the stereo, go for the best you can get.

Sorry, I rescind my comment. I saw the finished pic with the matte black wheels and WOW! Nice truck!
