Really hoping we see some more configurations/colors at the Chicago Auto Show. Not holding my breath on power/mpg specs though. Way too early for them to release that info.

I agree. I think it will look even more stunning in person. I've done a 180 since first seeing it. These last few weeks of not getting any new info really suck. Hoping more will be revealed at Chicago Auto Show.

I have stopped at a couple local Toyota stealerships since the release to see if anyone has '16 Tacoma information or when they will get information. Of course I get "we don't know when the details will come out. But here is my business card and I would be more than happy to help you pick out the '16 that is just right for you" line.

I may start a collection to see how many business cards I can get by the time the info comes out. I am up to 5 so far...

I think whoever designed the interior needs a raise. They did an outstanding job. Looks good down to the texture of the soft touch plastics.

I really like the gauges. I'd almost consider trading just for that.

The soft touch leather on the dash and stitching on leather seats looks very nice too. Although, I don't think I would ever get leather. I'd throw seat covers on it as soon as I bought one. I mountain bike a lot and I am frequently muddy/sweaty/stinky while driving. My seats from my '02 look brand new under the covers too. Good for resale also.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

I like the look and fit of those, but I like the comfort and durability of the ballistic canvas.. No stretch though. The moly loops on the back are pretty handy once you figure out how you want to use them

Thanks, but I found a guy I plan on dealing with when the '16s come in. He is military vet and seems pretty decent. He has sent me follow-up emails, and remembers me when I come in. He said he would do better then the USAA pricing I could get as well. That is a plus for sure.

I would have no complaints about having the 1st 2016 Tacoma. I have the money ready... just waiting on Toyota to bring 'em in. :)

LOL. I didn't realize buying my truck would become a race. I'll have to go home and tell the wife, we have to camp out at the dealership; black friday style.

Nah, just go in to the dealership and talk to the inventory manager. Get on their list of allocations, so that one of their initial builds is allocated directly to you. You can get it ordered any way you like. By the time they can submit your allocation order, you should have been able to configure as you want.

I'm getting a Limited DCSB Prerunner, full towing, tri-fold cover, floor mat delete. Not sure if I'm going with that electric blue or blue ribbon metallic.

That is great info. I have never ordered a vehicle, just got one off the lot. I want a DCSB TRD Off Road with towing package. I dont care for much else really. Color is still up in the air. I really liked the deep green I saw a couple years ago, the dark grey or black.

I want a DCLB. They probably won't offer the DCLB with a manual so I may have to accept that an auto is in my future =(

May I ask why you want Limited, 2wd, and no floor mats?

As for the praise of the interior, I like it but I like it so much that I don't want to use it.

Certainly! First, 2WD. I am only driving on-road or on managed dirt roads. I've never been heavily into 4-wheeling, even when I was in combat comm. Get me to the lake or river, and I'll walk from here.

Second, Limited. I want bells and whistles. It's also my daily driver, and I want to be as comfortable as possible to and from work. I'll also be doing the occasional 4 or 10 hour drive, and who wouldn't prefer to be sitting on leather for that.

Third, floor mats. My boot heels have cut holes in every other floor mat, and I've decided I'm not paying $130 for something I'm taking out immediately and replacing with Weathertech floor liners.
