    That's for darn tootin'.

When I think about having spent 17K for my shiny new 1990 Dodge W150 truck. Sheesshhh.

I know, inflation and all, but double and then some in price? It'll be worth it, though... I guess... to have a truck I can rely on if I want to roam around in the desert.

I appreciate the validation and the objective thoughts. I have been leaning toward new for the warranty reason, but the price... yikes. Although, if I can stick to the Base model like we did with the RAV it wouldn't be too crazy overall.

I can see going for the 3rd Gen in your place. I'd do the same. We were thinking about trading our 2006 RAV on a new one, but I hate what they did to the back end and tail lights, and they took away my full-sized spare tire. So pphhhttttt on that... good excuse to shop for a Tacoma. The wife, of whom I value highly, but tease for her girlness (my girlness only comes out when spiders climb in the bathtub with me)... the wife agrees I must have a full-sized spare tire. LOL She loves me.

So... if I can just settle on which extras I really need vs. just want... maybe I can go start the dance with the salesmen. I still can't believe I used to do that for sport. Where does the time go?

Any major differences between the '13 and '15 Prerunner trucks? I may give my kid a deal on my '13 (which I am very happy with) and just buy a new '15 giving him an almost new truck real cheap because he just graduated college.

I don't think you will have temp or compass in the rear view.

You're a bunch of bitches. Admit you like the truck and commit. I, however, will keep my supercharged 2013 and pass all of you. Screw gas mileage.

The thread still lives! I think the 16 looks pretty good.

I have to say... I just got a look at the driver's console on the 2016 model. Wow! Space age. The computer compass model in the middle where the speedometer used to be. Slick.

Although, I'm just old enough to be skeptical of too many things electronic. Like, if my battery dies I'm not getting in the car ever again? At least if the physical key hole has rusted shut or something.

So... is a spiffy computer-generated compass enough to persuade me to wait for a 2016? I dunno.

I'm already agitated about the fact when I use the KBB website, or Edmunds, or even Toyota's own website that I can't build the model I want with the stupid color I want. Now even the brown (pyrite mica) isn't available on a 2015 model? Really???

If we were going to launch a... what to bitch about next, thread... what's with the limited and boring number of colors offered on trucks these days? Grrrrrrr.

This is the no complaining thread ;) Besides, I only had white, silver or gray to choose from for my model - wasn't worth that much more $$ to me go get more choices . . . :(

You can pass all of us with your supercharger, but we will pass you right back when you stop at the gas station and we don't have to fill up for another 150 miles.

What is really going to be funny is when the new engine technology is going to make the new truck almost as fast as his supercharger, but with twice the gas mileage! Happened to me in my old mustang, bought a 2006 and by 2011 they were getting twice the gas mileage and 50+ more hp.

Although, from an article I read, it appears the limited will be the only one with the push button start.

I'm not sure. I don't know if he was referring to the 05-11 colors or the 12-15 ones, or even all of them as a whole. But as you've seen they have speedway blue again so it might be all of them.

New engine will most likely be almost as fast, but with the factory Toyota reliability and improved efficiency. I'll pass you when you get a ticket if you act on the road anything like you act on this forum.
Are you thinking of blue ribbon metallic? Or has swb been announced to be a 2016 color? It was discontinued for the 12+.

Where have we seen speedway blue again? Are you talking about the blue that the limited is being shown in? If so that is blazing blue pearl not speedway blue.

http://www.toyota.com/upcoming-vehicles/tacoma - look at the picture at the top of the page of the 2 models. The caption below states the names of the colors.

Thanks guys that's what I needed to know. Now I''ll start doing an inventory search to see if I can find a'15 while they're clearing them out for the '16. My son told me yesterday he would love to have the '13 so it's a go now.

I wish they would bring back the Timberland Mica from the 09 - 11 models.. Such a better color in my opinion but I might be a little biased:)
