All Toyota trucks & Cruisers are cool IMO. This includes lowered trucks too.

All very capable off-roaders. Not perfect, but still cool.

Heck, my dad is still rockin his 1st gen and wont give it up. I drive it every now and then and the thing still runs great.

I'm going to continue to drive and enjoy my supercharged 2014 PreRunner until the Tacoma TRD PRO debuts sometimes next year. If the newer, smaller V6 outperforms this blown 4.0, then I will trade-in for the 2016 Taco TRD PRO!

    That's it! :)

I'm torn whether to buy one or just keep my '13 Tundra. I really like the interior room of the tundra, the 6.5' bed, and the 5.7L V8!. However I don't really NEED a full sized truck anymore since I sold my Landscape maintenance business. I upgraded to the Tundra because my turf spray rig was too heavy for the Tacoma.

The smaller size of the Tacoma would definitely be nice off-road and my wife would also appreciate the smaller size whenever she has to drive it. The gas mileage savings would be nice, however gas mileage doesn't matter that much to me at the end of the day.

If I bought a 3rd gen taco, I would definitely be a double cab long bed 4x4 Limited.

Overall I think I like it but am holding out to see how the new engine performs and what a DCLBFTMFW TRD Sport 4x4 looks like. Thought I am sure it will be an improvement I could give 2 shits about fuel mileage really, whats important to me is that it has at least the same if not better towing capacity and feels quick & sporty around town. I have been driving my 05' since new and it is right at 110K miles as of today. It is still a great truck and I would like to be able to keep it when I buy a new one but that would mean that I need to get my wife's Highlander paid off first. So it will be 2017 before I am really ready to buy.

I like the new Tacoma and I'll tell you why. It's not such a drastic change that my '13 Prerunner is going to look dated. I like that strong family resemblance. As far as the V-6 getting smaller, that's been the story of the auto industry as a whole these past 40 years. The 350 c.i. that was the base engine for many cars, gave way to the 305, which then gave way to the 260, which then gave way to the V-6. As engines have gotten smaller they've become much more refined. I see no reason to expect it to be any different with Toyota.

I'm liking the new truck. Looks like a lot of good upgrades. The front end is different, but growing on me. They're saying better, quieter ride, better fuel economy, more hp. Time will tell. Push button start is a plus to me. I've really learned to like that in my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0 turbo. The interior looks nicer. Really like my '13 Tacoma. Probably would come down to value of my trade versus a new Tacoma. Getting heated seats would make the wife's tushy happy. And if the wife's tushy is happy, I'm happy. :)

I can't wait for it. Unfortunately due to getting married in early 2016 and this racing season (motorcycle CCS racing), and wanting to buy a house, I will probably need to just dream until late 2016. I suppose the 2017 model will be out then, which I'm okay with too.

I love all the technology in it, and I look forward to the engine. I wanted something that tows better and hopefully gets better gas mileage than my 2002 4runner. Towing my 7x12 enclosed trailer with my 4runner isn't fun up hills haha.

From what i have seen so far, i like it very much. I have been saving for a new Tacoma, now i just need to decide which one it will be. I am really leaning towards a 2016. I am thinking DCSB Off Road. I am kind of torn between colors, but think I will go black. Cannot wait for it to get here so I can see it in person and take it out on a test drive!

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
Probably get 1 even though I don't like 1st year model problems to solve. Will get 1st or 2nd year models if it drives ok. Not sure about a 4x4 this time after my vibration problems last time. Had about a dozen small Toyota Trucks and last (2012 or 2013) TRD 4x4 was worst on drivetrain vibes

Like my current Ridgeline too, super great on wet roads with 4WD which is really AWD with a locker) and SUPER trunk and tailgate, but tough on gas and too big. I don't need a "rock crawler".

I really like the looks of the new truck. I am curious to see what the "new" engine is like, I enjoyed the 3.5 variation that was in my 2010 RAV4 Sport. Not really in a place to buy a new truck but if I was, I would get one of the '16's.
