I will post some pictures tomorrow. It's confirmed that it will be at Denver Auto Show (which is going on as I type this). I won't be there until 6 pm or so (show goes until 10 pm), so I am not sure if any Toyota reps will be on hand or not. At any rate, I am very excited to see it, even though I won't get to touch it or sit inside of it.

Well all they had at the Denver Auto Show was the TRD Access Cab model. No blue double cab. No one really on sight to discuss it. Although one of the Toyota people told me they are already producing them, which I don't think was accurate, right? Oh well, at any rate, the new Tacoma looks very good in person. I was impressed.

They did not have it there because the frame would have rusted between the unloading and rolling it into the exhibit hall.

That lines up with what a guy who works at headquarters told me. I thought that was kind of oddly late to start.

Darn, I was hoping for the blue one. I'm going Saturday.

Also, stole this from the TW facebook page. Looks like that guy was right about inferno being a production color.

EDIT just noticed the thread here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/3r...2016-trd-sport-spotted-great-white-north.html

I hear there is a spruce mica floating around too. The DCLB has always been with the TRD Sport. Doubt they will make a TRD Off Road package with the DCLB or with a manual =(

There is a new slip joint design that attaches to the carrier bearing. You can see a rubber boot covering it up...unless the recent 2nd gens already have this.

I'm not impressed with the Sport, but I've always thought the DCLB looked too low in the stock configuration (an illusion, of course) and looked great lifted. That being said, I'm finding myself liking that blue Limited the most of each model. I don't dig the unpainted flares or the stock wheels on the TRD OR either.

That being said, if/when kids show up and I grow out of my beloved current AC OR, I can see a 2016+ in my future. What will be interesting to see is what options are available in the SR5 vs other models. The moonroof for me will be a must have (I would have gone DCSB this go round just for a sunroof), but I will be curious to see if it's an option for the SR5 or not.

There's nothing on that truck that can't be fixed with knobby tires, a small lift and a different grille.

What's this mean? Since it's just the driveshaft, nothing performance wise I'm sure?

It means that hopefully the dreaded drive-line vibration that has plagued 2nd Gens has been fixed.
