General Grabber AT2 or the Hankook Dynapro ATM RF-10? These are the two I've narrowed it down to for my needs which is 99% paved roads.

The size I'm getting will be 265/75/16 with 5100 suspension.

Thanks for the advice/opinions in advance.

    Throwing a wrench in .

Since you only want a tire for the street, then check out the Michelen LTX M/S2. Better then both your choices imo.

While that does seem to be a popular tire for road oriented truck drivers, I would never put Michelins on my truck. Working in a couple different tire shops, it seems as though the Michelins always start to show weather cracking very early in their life. I'm really not a fan. And based on the OPs two options he wants something a little more aggressive looking. Perhaps on the Michelin side, the LTX AT2?

I dont personally have them , my brother in law does. Pretty sharp looking tire, nice size tread, solid warranty. The guys on the forum speak highly of the LTX's, but yeah maybe the OP should check out the LTX AT2, good recommendation for sure.

I've thought of the Michelin tire, I had the pilot super sport on my stage II Golf GTI and they were great. Unfortunately I've heard from other people what Styx 586 has said. Not to mention I'm trying to keep cost down...

I've had the Hankooks in MT and AT and they've both been great tires. I'd recommend the Hankooks.

Getting ready to get my second set of AT2's. I have had this set so long I have lost track of how many miles are on them. Tire wear has been great, and good traction in the snow.

Cooper AT3's are in the same price range and get really good reviews as well. I'd recommend those.

FWIW - I have Michelin MS2's for summers and love them. They don't cost that much considering they will last you 100k miles

Hey - just noticed you're also on the Island. Welcome to TW. Congrats on the truck.

Yeah I'm on the island, noticed the same about you when I was looking at your sig. I take it you run the coopers? I'm looking for something that's good in the rain - although it was a pretty dry winter this past year - and I've read that the Hankooks do really well in wet conditions....unfortunately the Coopers don't get great reviews on 1010tire etc....

Are you North or South Island?

I can't really give you the advice but I just got the Hankook in 265/70/17 for UNDER $700 out the door. I like the look really much, it is a little noisier than my Dueler but not to much/can't really tell unless I really listen to it. I'm on my 4th tank and the gas mileage is about the same.

Have little vibration at about 60 mph but I think it is from my alignment....I need to have it re-align tomorrow to see why. I also have the 5100 set at 1.75 and I am sitting almost EVEN...Both front and rear are at 37"-37.25" now (ground to fender at center of hub)

Hankook is the worst tire I've ever owned. I do not recommend it.

Not a fan of the ATm's in the wet coastal snow we usually get here , my Hankook MT's were better

I guess we deal with the same weather systems....that's why I'm leaning towards the Hankooks, they seem better rated in the wet conditions we get here on the West Coast. Lots of rain....

I'm running Grabbers now, and have had the Hankooks on a Durango with poor snow performance. Maybe the vehicle? The best AT tire I've experienced was Nokian. I had the Vatiiva (Now Rotiiva) on a Grand Cherokee and WR2's on my Subaru. Excellent traction in wet, snow or ice with great mileage.

I had the Hankook Dynapro ATM RF-10 on my last truck and they performed Excellant. They wore Excellant and the road noise was to a minimum. I would buy them again. In the snow we had last year here in WV, we had 20 inches, and they got me back and forth to work fine.
