I’m thinking about buying a used Leer. I have to travel to buy it and have never installed a cap.

Do I need the bulb seal just for a temporary setup? I will have it like-X’d shortly after purchase so it shouldn’t be on for very long. Will installing it without any gaskets cause damage to my paint?

Any have any experience Line-X’ing caps? Any issues with the rear doors closing afterwords?

I've owned 2 Leer caps. And both had the bulb seal integrated into the cap where it sets on the bed rails.

Can't help with the Line-X question.

Just that is a huge help. Thank you.

Anyone else on the Line-X portion?
