Going to buy a new phone this week and don't know if one mobile operating system or other is better for use with Entune as far as compatibility and features. Don't really know what that means. iPhone or Android?

The entune system just sucks. Just get the phone you like better that has a good navigation app.

That being said, I have played music from an ipod, ipad and my iPhone with out issue.

Compatibility with Entune is of little to no importance when deciding on a phone operating system. Both Android and iOS are supported with Entune but in either case Entune is garbage so it shouldn't be a factor in your decision.

my premium entune has no issues with my droid, occasionally it won't connect but usually only when I have not been in the truck for 4 or five days if I am traveling..

I've had the same issue with my android. I didn't use my truck for about 2 weeks and had bluetooth disabled on my phone during that time. When I had to use my truck again, my phone wouldn't connect even though it said it was connected in the settings. I had to pull over and cycle the power but it worked after that.

I've had both an iPhone and an Android with my truck so far... and there are basically 0 differences between the 2 that I can see. I had a Windows Phone for a period with it too, and the only problem there was no Entune app so I couldn't use any of the "apps" (but the phone functions all worked the same).

The end result is pick the phone you like, don't pick it for the truck.
