    I always buy mine at the local dealer for less than $6 and they include a crush washer with the filter.

    That's a more than fair price considering the washer and that it's a dealer parts dept.

    I think its good marketing because Toyota is keeping their Red logo out in front of people who like their cars. I think people see the red Toyota logo and it triggers a response of economy, frugality, and quality. It keeps me coming back for more Toyota packaged parts.

    Ford, Chevy, and Chrysler really cannot put their brand logo in front of the public with Motorcraft, Delco, and Mopar. Sure there are a lot of people that know those are parts for the Big 3, but nothing beats getting that Toyota logo in front of the public.

    Companies pay billions of dollars each year to get exposure to their brand logo. We may see more car company branded parts hit the shelves of Walmart and big box auto parts stores.

    I just buy mine from camelback Toyota, they are around $3.79 a piece and often ship free. I buy 4 at a time because we have a couple vehicles that use the same filter.
