Their argument was, that they almost sell at cost. Before they could swallow the extra shipping cost due to the profit, since there is no profit they can't swallow the shipping cost in order to make some money.

On one hand understandable, on the other hand misleading...

I went through with it anyways, since it is still a good deal.

The group buy was poorly organized by the OP in my opinion.

Ander @GEOADVENTUREGEAR tries to clean up as good as he can. And he is doing an amazing job so far, given the clusterf****** OP left.....

That's correct to clarify shipping cost unfortunately on the group buy we cant afford to pay for most of the shipping (what we normally do) because of the price we're selling (almost cost) so we're quoting like we normally would but we're just forwarding the price the give us on to you guys... if you guys find a better alternative and want to be responsible for shipping that is fine with us just let us know if that's what you prefer.

what doesnt help is the volume not the weight really... que quote with 3 different brokers and we go with who ever can do the transit at the lowest cost.

Home delivery can be significant, that is why I had mine shipped to the local terminal for pickup. Ander readily requested a new freight quote for me deleting home delivery. In addition to lowering cost I wanted to remove as much handling by the carrier as possible to minimize damage.

It should be cheaper shipping to a business address especially if they have a loading dock.

Give him a call tomorrow during business hours. That would be your best bet at this point.

I wavered on mine for several days. Especially, in light of the shipping costs. Thing that finally pushed me to buy was the size of the 165. Such a great intermediate size between the 55 inch and the 75 inch that other guys make. Just fits the length of a DCSB and trying to sleep comfortably with myself and two young kids on a full size bed (55") wasn't going to happen.

Btw, this showed up today. :) Boxes were a bit beat up but everything seems good. Haven't gotten a chance to take everything down and look at them thoroughly.
