That's what I was thinking. I was also thinking of fishing it into the continuous square tube to the front of the wedge and then have it exit up there…

I went back to our conversation from a while back and that was helpful to re-read it after the knowledge I've gathered since then.
If it's not a hassle, more photos of your setup are always helpful!

ok, here goes. On my camper, and on at least a few others, there is an access hole that provides access to the structure tubing. See red circled area below and tape measure for distance reference. I’ve been reluctant to post this picture, because it was information I obtained in the shop when I picked up the Drifter. I do not know if all Drifters look like this on the inside (fair warning!)!

I fished to that hole and then forward to the front, driver’s corner of the wedge. See red circled area below. Crawl up there and feel around - it will make sense. From there I ran it in a channel under the sleeping platform (starting in the blue circled area below). You might need to remove the top layer of the sleeping platform, depending on if anything else already uses this area. I had it apart to run some lights and solar wires too.

This channel is open (or you make it open by removing insulation), underneath the sleeping platform all the way back to the driver’s front corner of the “Drifter cabin” area. See blue circled area below. Once again, investigate for yourself!

From there, it seems like everyone will require their own solution.

    editorial comment:
I originally installed the vent for exactly the same concerns - dog ventilation. After a year and a half, we’ve used this feature exactly once - an afternoon ride in Sedona where the sun was warm. Generally, if it’s too warm or too stagnant for sleeping, we go up in elevation. Also, we’ve come to realize that if it’s too warm for the dog, we’re probably not doing much either. Everyone’s situation is unique though! Anyway, fishing the wire is kindof a pain, so I recommend careful consideration.

verified the hole is there on #11. It is about 15.5” from the rear edge of the roof insulation panel.

good verification. It makes sense that you have the hole, since you have a factory light. And a good reminder that things can be slightly different over time. My access hole was about a foot forward of yours.

    happy fishing!
