    WTB…3rd gen Softopper.

Just casually interested, so 10% off retail is a hard pass. I don’t have FB so if anyone sees some pop up on marketplace please post it here. I won’t be at all butt hurt if someone else in the same hunt jumps on a deal before me.

    TIA

Think he had/has a Best top. Same same, but different. Thanks for the tag though.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Why you want one of those homie? To sleep under? Or are you just bored and wanting to mess around. Your setup is about as good as it gets, until you UTE it. I mean sure I enjoy the popup tent and the gullwing doors, but other than that we have the same functionality.

I think you would put that soft topper on, and it would come off almost immediately bro. I see that money being spent on a hidden winch!

    The plot thickens…

Sure one only needs a winch when they need it, but when you do…it’s awesome to have. I have dragged so many trees around with this thing it has paid for itself over and over.

I was down in the Appalachicola national forest two weekends ago and used my winch numerous times on downed trees on that one trip. It's definitely worth it when you come to a road block and you don't have room to turn around. Plus it beats getting stranded in the woods and having to walk for miles. I agree mine had paid for itself many times. By the way I'd recommend exploring that place if anyone is ever in the area of Mexico beach Fl. It was a lot of fun.

I have been there a few times. Really cool spot. Yep, the winch is a must have, and for the cost it should be added right after sliders IMO. All trucks should come with winches…and some should have 2 :)

Quite possibly. I enjoyed the softopper I had on my 2nd gen. Kinda like idea of running one again during the summer on my turd. Anything north of $400 or in poor condition is of no interest to me. I might be looking for a unicorn. That’s cool with me.

Haha you aren’t wrong about the hidden winch option… My neighbor just finished up a custom tube bumper on his Amigo. We may go down the rabbit hole on the taco next.

IF I get a winch, big if, I’ll likely be on the badland budget hahaha.

my same exact thoughts; I don't anticipate needing a winch in any kind of off roading scenario, because I just simply don't go wheeling like that, but there's been about 20 times in the past 4 or 5 years, doing random projects around the house/hunting property, that a badlands or smittybilt winch would've paid for itself. Just need a bumper first..

    You trust a wireless device?

I'm all for technology, but am leery of these things with limited robustness/redundancy and testing. I've seen the good stuff fail, and I'd really hate to have a failure when I need the winch to recover my truck.

My buddy has both, bought the wireless and then keeps the wired in the truck incase batteries die or it just fails to work. But I'm too cheap so I just keep the wired one since I can still use it from the driver seat
