What is your route in Blue Ridge? I live in BR and see the big brown trucks everwhere....I've probably seen ya around somewhere before.

Edit: Tacomarotto...were you in Blue Ridge last weekend, and did you eat at Circle J Steak House?

Identical to yours. Black DC with same wheels and a rack in the bed...strange.

Haha I thought it was yours. How was the trip? I've lived here my whole life and I've never been whitewater rafting...

My girlfriend has a bunch of family coming in for the 4th and I think we're gonna go on a whitewater trip.

Haha. I saw your truck once and mentioned to the GF how I liked it, then saw it a few minutes later and I'm pretty sure it was at the Steak House. Might be wrong on that part, I don't really remember.

FS336 doesn't loop back around to 515 but it's still pretty long. Not difficult at all. Completely passable in 2wd. They have closed off all of the side trails. There are still a few side trails I would like to try.

For some reason FS295 was closed (gate locked) even though the USFS website doesn't show it's closed.

Here are my pics from the weekend. Fun easy ride. BTW those were some intense thunderstorms, I was getting blown all over the road and pelted with flying debris coming back through Tate and Jasper on 53.

yeah that was really funny that he is driving a car like that and he let a v6 tacoma pass him without even making an effort to accelerate.

Oooooh. I read ya. The road that goes all the way across the mountain is, of course, the best trail. Sucks that it got closed down.

There was a Corvette show in downtown Blue Ridge that day...that's where that 'vette was heading.
