I am here just been living up in the mtns!

 

First post updated with meeting information.

 

Just throwing my 2 cents in here, but I'd recommend the Ingles in Clayton as the meeting point. Better food, fuel in the parking lot, easier to enter and exit as it's not down in a hole like the Piggly Wiggly is. I'm good with whatever though.

For those that haven't travelled these parts the small communities of Tallulah Falls, Mountain City and Dillard are notorious speed traps.

Also, I was going to board my dog but figured I'd bring him and save the $. Anyone object? He's a little bit of a crackhead but he's a good dog for the most part.

I enjoy dogs and find crackheads hillarious, bring him!

 

Weather in Dillard Ga for Saturday night is forecasted to be 38 degrees. So bring some cold weather sleeping gear. Its always colder on the trail by a few degrees. @Scott B. dont forget those blankets you forgot during our winter trip in january/feb.

 

I forgot flannel sheets on that trip.

Not to worry, they were put in on Sunday, to make sure I didn't forget! LOL

we plan on doing a part 2 since we ran out of weekend before we ran out of trail.

 

I've been researching a minimal/starting point checklist of gear and tbh...there's just way too much information. Nothing succinct enough that says, 'Just starting out on basic offroad trails? Here's what you need and what you don't.' From a credible source that isn't ad/clickbait...lol.

 

you needed a stock truck to do the trails we did last weekend. Lots of fun, nothing that would tear up a truck.
