All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
My buddy Rick had a good time meeting all of you. Here is some pics of his FJC playin on that Little Rock in 2wd, and Chris cake walking it!
That little tree was so close to that shiny new bumper I you found on CL. Good on you for trusting Rick who obviously cares about body damage

Bumper is getting some powder when my SOS stuff is done so a little bump wouldn’t have hurt:cool: Fun little obstacle that was!

I see this FJ several times a week as I go on in to work. I always think “here’s a guy who isn’t afraid of a little body damage and shows that with pride”. Also always wondered who the owner is.

Yeah my buddy Rick and I have gone thru some craziness together for sure. I remember when he bought that truck back in ‘07. Three rear diffs, several axles, and all kinds of ridiculousness later. His truck is still rocking. He takes it out west every year and gives it hell. He has a heavy foot, when the road opens up...feels like we are in Baja when I ride with him.

I had to buy an ‘85 pickup and turn it into a Truggy just so I could follow him. As there was no way in hell I was taking my other rigs thru those cracks!!, which require you to flop your truck to get thru.

He by far is the most adventurous person I know. And knows every trail out there, it has been awesome to have a friend like him to help push my skill level in both driving and mechanical.

For those new to the RTT scene, do NOT think you can wait a couple days to air your sucka out! Huge mistake, take care of it as it did you. It’s actually better to open it even if it still raining thru the week.

    - Couple things, make sure you don’t roll up anything. Use some sort of bungie or something to hold the rain flys off the tent.
    - Open the side vents at the bottom on opposing side.
    - Finally you need to open up every window, moisture has collected everywhere. If you have a blower, hit it lightly with that.

If you saw/felt condensation building up in our RTT over time. Some say hanging a thick towel helps, I say that’s bs.
You got to wipe it down, and if you smell something at all or wanna help prevent condensation thru your trip: (they make hanging and container versions)
