Thanks @BYJOSHCOOK, it isn't anything I am ready to purchase right now. Just looking around and being a nerd with specs is all.

Was really looking towards https://turtlebacktrailers.com/. It seems that they have pretty much everything that you would need for a trip. They are a little pricey, but you get the tent and other things as well. They also have the suspension that I was talking about at the camping trip.

Yeah, but they come with more than the CVT trailers and you get the tent with the trailer. Like I said, just looking around.

I built this ugly fucker for around $2k, including the frame:

I hauled it all over the southeast and camped a bunch of times with it. We stopped camping when we had kids and ended up giving it to our neighbors. They're restoring it to take their daughters (~7 and 9) camping. It had AC, a full bath, hot water, the works.

You can build a "weekender" teardrop style trailer in literally a weekend if you have the tools and do some prep work to have all the parts on hand ahead of time. Start with a Harbor Freight 4x8 heavy duty trailer, swap out the hitch for a lock n roll, and get some plywood. The plans are dirt-simple, have been around for a long time, and are online free. tnttt.com is a great resource for that sort of thing, but the weekender in particular started here: http://www.mikenchell.com/weekender/design.html As a sidenote, I'd NEVER use OSB, use either proper plywood or a 1x3 frame skinned with 1/8" ply -- that's what I did:

If I ever got laid off and wanted a career change, I could build these things and make a fortune. The margins are absolutely insane for the $10k trailers. They're all built similar and are often made of fairly cheap materials (with notable exceptions).

JB's trailer is a work of art though, there is way more in it than most of the "offroad teardrops" or "offroad trailers." You'll struggle to ever find one that nice.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
That’s my buddies trailer. That’s probably one of the best deals on the net for a trailer. Most at this price would be an M101A2 or an M1101 that has been converted.
@TheUglyOne if you considering one, you should check this one out.

Yo yo, so the name of mine is made by campausa. You can find a home built one, for around 2500-4k. The manufacturers ones will run you between 6-9k+ (These are used prices).
CVT makes one I believe for 9k that is new.
    https://charlotte.craigslist.org/tro/d/huntersville-cvt-off-road-trailer/6819197115.html

My advice is use an app called CSmart for you phone. Choose several of our bordering states to search like FL, GA, TN, SC, NC.
Search these terms “Offroad trailer” “off-road trailer” “Offroad camper” “off-road camper” “CVT” “RTT” “Rooftop tent” “roof-top tent”.

I have found over the years, that more results pop up just when I search using the tent terms. Sometimes using terms like trailer or camper don’t yield. Anyone who has one with a tent will list it somewhere in the ad.

Check out this site too, a variety of trailers can be found here:
    https://overlandgearexchange.com/trailersforsale

If you tell me what you want, I can find it for you.

Also keep these in mind. The older ya get the more these apeal to you. I have liked my RTTs, but this is pimping when you had a long night:

Looks like the base trailer that @synaps3 was talking about for his homemade camper.

Well maybe I will then, I will check with my buddy to see what that would cost to get a 2 color die cut sticker made.
