All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Well I am making my signature pancakes, in which I will make you a self portrait of you out of Bananas, Blueberries and Strawberries.
Now if only I can keep hands off my Fridge thermostat, we won’t be making Boiled Frozen Eggs again.
    Lol

On a different note..look at what I have built over this week. Took my old fence down, and rebuilding it using steel posts.

That’s right, I am tired of replacing snapped off posts. Trying to finish today

That's a great idea. I may have to do that next time the posts on my fence rot out (which will hopefully be another decade since I've replaced almost all of them in the last 3 years).

This fence will be here forever. I am down for replacing pickets as needed no problem... but I have an 8’ privacy fence, and replacing posts on 350’ of fence sucks. Done it twice on the low side of my property, high side gets sun and water drains/evaporates. Low side is in the shade and the wind whips are around the house during a storm.
    Wish me luck!

Rain ain’t stopping me from water sports!
Bought this paddle board and I got to figure it out before the June trip to Amelia (which you should attend).

What kind of metal posts? Are they the galvanized steel that they sell at Home Depot and you painted them black? Or are they something else like schedule 40?

This is one of the areas where I feel like Georgia is a little behind the times. In Texas.....yep, here we go again. Sorry, it's all I've known for the last 10 years.....the 4x4 ground contact pressure treated posts would last about 4-5 years. The long, hot, dry summers would dry out the posts. Then we'd get some precipitation, followed by a freeze, followed by fences laying on the ground. It was so common that I'm pretty sure our county put in an ordinance that fence posts had to be metal. Don't quote me on that though. We replaced all of our wooden posts with metal and never had another problem.

Fast forward to this past month and we had a fence installed at our new property. I wanted to do it myself, but there was concern about accurately locating the property line. We know where our stakes are, but half the lot if flat and the other is a steep drop off. So wanting to get it done quickly, we decided to start calling companies. Not one of them had ever heard of using metal post! The only one that was willing to do it was going to charge something ridiculous. My mind was absolutely blown.

I hear conflicting things when it comes to the pressure treated wood out here. Specifically around the use. "Wooden decks need to be replaced every 5-8 years," but "4x4 posts don't break." I get that a collapsing deck could kill you, but how is it that one is great and the other is just ok as a temporary measure?

I can be fairly handy too. But once you've used a framing nailer, you never want to go back :D

What all would you need to make some extra pancakes, say for 2 people for Saturday? I need a new camping grille that actually lets me regulate heat not full blast but funds are tight right now. I'd usually rough it but since Megan is coming I can't.....

Dope! I'm doing brats with veggies the first night and then steak fajitas the final night. Pre-cooking it all tonight so it'll be a long one haha.

Thought about making some guac but it'd be like $30 in ingredients for all of us haha, as well as Margs but that's too much work. I'll stick to Mexican beer and maybe some tequila here and there :taco:

Looks like I'm out. Its been a rough week- I've zero time to prep anything/bought a new car, etc. I did manage to get the lift kit ordered for the new Subaru Outback though. The wife's 4runner lift spindles and bilsteins may have to wait for a minute, unless I trip over them in the garage again.
