Yea just ran to store to grab a hub assembly too, and doing brakes....Jesus...I knew there was a reason I buy newer vehicles.

There's a reason I buy older vehicles, so I can work on them myself because I'm poor :)

:lalala:It’s not leaking as bad as before. Maybe it’s just overflow?

    Yes
What a coincidence, just noticed mine started leaking yesterday:annoyed: Ordered the ECGS bearing and a new seal, hopefully replacing before the trip this weekend.

Jon did you replace the bearing as well or just the seal? Was the seal an OEM or aftermarket seal?

In addition to @Gilmorec61 questions, did you get the seal flush? Mine is slightly pressed in more on one side. I thought it was flush when I was doing it, but it went in a hair past where I wanted on one side. No issues and it's been 6 months and 10k miles.

For first time ecgs people, it's not a bad idea to rent (for free) a blind hole bearing puller and slide hammer attachment if you aren't close to an auto parts store (to make it easier if it's installed incorrectly or the tool breaks). When I went to do mine on a 15, Toyota was nice enough to seat the bearing almost as deep as they could from the factory so the ecgs tool would not fit behind it. It took some serious force to get it out of there.

:poking:I don’t want to speak too soon but I’m pretty sure it was overfilled. I took off the fill plug and let it drain some. Once it slowed I put the bolt back in. Sprayed it down with a pressure washer. 40 miles dry.

Fixing the rock crawler so we can have some fun while sitting around. Last time I plugged in the battery it almost burnt down :bananadead:IMG_20190925_094852893.jpg

Anyone else have RC's? If so bring em with, I have a short course truck too, but that fun will be over in about 15 minutes when the battery dies. The crawler will run for days.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I got a Slash, but it won’t be fun unless there is a wide open area. This thing flys!
I have been wanting a crawler for awhile, and build a little course in the yard.
Some of those YouTube crawler vids are addictive ;)
