So true. Most are reactionary voters fearmongered by the spin coming off the fringes of both sides.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
I disagree. Even the knowledgable voters don't know everything they are voting on when they vote someone in office. For the unifomred, take a half hour and find out a little bit, and vote based on what is importnant to you and your beliefs. You don't have to vote for every position and you are not going to agree with every Politicians agenda, so at least find what is important to you and who will at least act on that. If you aren't into politics you could at least figure out if you are a little more one way or the other, and at least vote on that.

Oh man! This always burns me up.

I have known so many people who vote "the way I lean," then ended up voting someone into office who may have shared their views on one or two hot-topic buttons, and that person ran their constituency into the ground with retarded policies and a lack of knowledge about their region's economy.

One or two-topic voters annoy the crap out of me. Most everyday living depends a lot more on a candidate's fiscal and social policies than their views on abortion, gay marriage or firearms laws.

It doesn't matter what you know, as long as you understand the general results of your vote, go out there an do it. We are all very very very very ignorant. We like to think we have the right answer to the nations problems but we dont, we fail to realize that there's sooooooooooo much mote going on behind the scenes that we never hear About, and all the action is relevant to what the "proper" course of action would be. Bottom line: be heard, no matter where you work or what your major is. Your voice is just as important as any others.

No on 8 because I'm straight.

Don't get me wrong, I think everyone should take the time and educate theirselves about politics and what is at stake, but I don't want to hear anyone bitch when they had no vote in the matter even if only one thing concerns them. People shouldn't wait until after the fact to determine they don't like the outcome of the elections.
