They allow for some alcohol to be brought on. I always bring a 1/5th of Vodka with me. I used to empty out Mouthwash bottles and refill with my favorite whiskey. Then I would buy two of Carnivals "Drink of the Day" drinks. When I finished those two, I would go to my cabin and make two of my own. I did that pretty much the rest of the cruise!

Last Cruise I went on, The drinks were reasonable. No more than a regular bar. Drink up, and have fun!

Not only that, but even SODA cost a fortune!!

The cruise I went on L O N G time ago ( 13 years, laugh), the sodas were ridiculous. We ended up buying 2litre bottles for like $4 (in St. Thomas). That was much cheaper than the 'per drink' charges. They let us carry on the 2litres onboard.

I'm sure much has changed now-a-days.

You're better off going to an all-inclusive vacation (on land) and all the food & drinks are included.

I agree with janster. I just got back from an all inclusive vacation at sandals on Jamaica. It was one of the best vacations because you don't have to worry about anything but gettin sunburned! Haha and empty out bottles of water and fill it up to the top with vodka. That's what I've done on the last 3 cruises I went on. Keeps it cheap! Haha

Go on Holland America Cruise Lines...everything is paid for with the price of the cabin. They don't have as much amenities as Canival but EVERYTHING you eat, drink, do is already paid for.

Looks like you can bring on one bottle of wine or bubbly.
Just fill one of those up with your favorite hooch and make it look un opened.
Some of my friends did a Mexico cruise for a week and brought Tequila back from every stop and supplimented their drinking with that. They still had a triple didgit bar tab though. Heavy drinkers.

get a big bottle of vodka and a sharpie. Carefully cross out the words "vodka" and write "mouthwash" on top of it.

don't try to fill a bottle that looks like anything but mouth wash. they will toss it. Buddy of mine brought coca-cola bottles on board. Opened his bags and there was a note saying something about not bringing that stuff on board. You're going on a cruise, you're 21. Things like this don't happen often. Spend a little money and have a good time.
