Have a 2022 Tacoma that I just picked up 2 weeks ago. Have about 1100 miles on it. I’ve noticed that I get some feedback in the brake peddle. Not every time but I’d say 1 in 4 times. Irrelevant of brake pressure or speed of application. It’s kind of a mild throbbing when the brake is first applied. I took it to the dealership today to check out and they drove it and told me it was normal. Has anyone else experienced it? The brakes function perfectly it’s just that the peddle feels weird.

I assume either off road or pro? If so, it’s the electric brake booster.

Yes this is normal. It is from the vacuum pump on the electric brake booster. I feel it on my 21 OR every three or so brake pedal presses. Feels like a subtle vibration in the pedal. Sometimes I notice it sometimes not.

On my 20 OR you can actually slightly here the electric motor on the third pump of the brakes...and the brakes make a click( not the pads slapping the rotor) under certain repeatable conditions.

There is no vacuum pump on the or/pro. It is purely electric. The vacuum system is the others, and per the manual, due to be replaced at 120k.

Even my 2010 Off-Road does it, getting stainless steel braded brake lines helped quite a bit by removing the sponginess from the system so it doesn't feel the need to prime/build as much pressure as often.

Also makes the brakes more sensitive and consistent, highly recommend SSBB lines.
