I wasn't sure if anyone else has gotten a new frame from Toyota based on the recall, I imagine quite a few folks have.

Mine is going to happen within the next month or two, and was wondering what was involved. For people that had it done, what else gets changed? How long does it take? Also is there anything else I should have them do (truck is a 2003 at 90k) while it's apart?

    Thanks!

    none.... yet
second gens got new rear leaf springs and new lower control arms, I would think first gens get the same treatment. As far as maintenance at 90k, maybe clutch if it needs it (or has one) definitely fix leaks if you've got them while the engine is easily accessed. Thats all I got man. Your tacos' got a new lease on life with a new frame!

    Pretty much stock right now
You'll get leaf springs and LCAs as mentioned, and brake lines, gas tank skld, and all the small hardware that holds it all together. I had my lift and leaf springs moved to the new frame, and also had $600 in miscellaneous engine work done.

Depending on parts availability, it should not take long. Mine was done in a week, but it probably depends on your dealer's experience with the job.

Leave a camera with the techs and ask them to take pictures as they go. Very cool to have it documented.
