Getting a strange sound from engine

Not to my knowledge, not without disassembling the thing.

It still bugs me how high pitched that noise is. Normally rod knock is a lower, more ominous tone.

 

So if I stripped the plug what type of oil pan would I need? Trying to look but different choices and not sure. 07 6cyl pre-runner.

 

Did you say who changed your oil? Dealer? Quickie Lube?

Someone screwed up by not installing a crush washer.

 

Sounded sorta like lifter noise.maybe there was not enough oil to supply lifters.If so maybe crank will be ok.
