Hello, I’ve got a problem that’s been going on a while, around March I was getting really good gas mileage, sitting about 189 miles just under half a tank. Then I recently got a pressure control solenoid problem that got me 160 full tank and I fixed the solenoid and still get poor mileage now. Any suggestions why?

You really need to pencil out the mileage better too. Just going by fuel gauge needle position and miles isn't really accurate.

Next time you gas up, fill the tank until the nozzle clicks off. Set the trip meter to zero and start driving. Next time you gas up, fill it until the nozzle clicks off and compare gallons filled to your trip meter reading. If it takes 10 gallons and your trip meter reads 160 miles, you're getting 16 mpg. Write it down.

Repeat this for several cycles. Over a few days or weeks you'll get a clearer picture of your actual mileage. This will also give you something to compare against later if you try some things like maf cleaning, oxygen sensors, etc

Anything that reads codes and displays basic obd2 data. Most parts stores will have a cheapie model around 60-80$. There are a few available for your smart phone also

How far your truck drives on 1/2 or even a full tank of gas is pretty meaningless. Do the math and tell us MPG's so we have real numbers to look at.
