I really think you are going to regret getting rid of your Toyota!...Nothing compares to this truck in its class. I don't think I have ever heard anyone say I am "BORED" with my Tacoma!..If you are bored with it, go with an upgrade....How about a Tundra!...Get one fully loaded....And if it turns out you are bored with a fully loaded Tundra, buy a horse and ride off into the sunset and never look back....but I have a feeling you will !!!!

    "if you're bored, then you're boring" ;)

I'm not knocking on you but there is a ton of info on this forum to prevent your truck from become boring. Be creative.

My '08 DC Sport 4x4 is much more comfortable than the '04 DC I had before it. If you don't need a truck, you should go for a 4Runner or FJ. If you offroad and don't need alot of back seat access, definitely get the FJ. My wife has one and it's a blast to drive (occasionally, on weekends). I wouldn't trade my Tacoma for it, tho.

OMG! The VW Touareg has some of the worst ratings of any vehicle...most VW's do in fact. Yup...CR lists them as the #2 worst vehicle in their "worst of the worst" section...I knew I saw it there.

By the way...try dealing with other aspects of your life to deal with boredom. Change your mind not your "stuff" or circumstances. Otherwise we all will eventually get bored of something and keep chasing what is NOT outside of us. Boredom is a perception...not a lack of things to do or occupy yourself with.

Sorry, that's my Psychologist side coming out...

Hey, don't knock the xBs. I had one and if I could've kept it and had my Tacoma I would have.

I hear tell that slightly used Range Rovers are selling for pennies on the original dollar these days! Or big diesel pickups, those are getting cheaper by the minute too. I drove by the Toyota dealership the other day and saw only a small handful of Tacos, but row upon row of ginormous Tundras. If you got a Taco in the past few years you probably got in on the ground floor of smaller/medium pickups which are going to be in great demand as people bail out of gas/diesel guzzlers.

DO NOT buy a Toureag, a family member had one & lets just say CR & Viper-2 hits the nail on the head. It $ucked. The 09 Muranos are pretty nice for a SUV, but really you pretty much got the best of both worlds right now. Think about it........

But hey its only money and its your $$$. Personally I've bought lots of toys over the years only to discover the excitement lies within.....good luck whatever you decide.

The Tundra is worth a serious look. In my test drives, I thought it had a lot more interior space and was much MUCH more comfortable to drive than the Tacoma. It is also available with a lot more luxury equipment and better incentives than the Tacoma.

I just couldn't stomach the gas mileage of a Tundar for my daily driver when I just didn't need a full size truck. If that isn't an issue for you, the Tundra is a great pacakge.

Well, if you want comfort - go buy a Lincoln Towncar - but I say, keep the Taco - maybe go for the supercharger.

But, if you do decide to sell it, let me know, I'll buy your rims off of you - they look sharp on the exact same truck that I have (nice choice!)

    Keep the Taco.

I sold an '05 F-150 Lariat a couple months ago. All the bells and whistles, leather, 4-dr, big back seat, comfort and ride like a big car. That sucker only got 11 MPG on a good day going downwind. I'd flinch every time I had to drive to the store. Now I got the Taco: weak springs, shitty radio, no do-dads, minimal comfort and I'm loving it!!! Most fun drivin a vehicle since I owned a 'vette. Taco looks good, handles nice and has some snap. It is as a TRUCK should be. AND it has a very high mile drivetrain.

I'd think twice before going to a big gas hog. How much is a little more comfort worth? I don't see the gas situation getting better anytime soon.

I looked at the Tundra and it has everything I could want, its just to damn big and I don't like the gas mileage. As far as doing more mods to my truck that is just a temporary fix I believe. I'm not trying to say anything bad about the Tacoma, its a nice truck, just not sure its what I want at this point in time. In the end if I get something different and decide I would rather have another Tacoma, I'm pretty sure Toyota will have another one to sell me. Since everyone hates the Touareg so much, any other ideas of another option? Toyota is not an option. No 4runners, no FJ's. Thanks for all the input.

You're in a Toyota forum saying you don't want a Toyota.
You decided to buy a Tacoma and now you don't want it. Why would a group of people you don't even know make a better decision that you did?
All we can do is keep throwing out suggestions until we hit on something you want. How about a VW Touareg? :)
