Is there a way to get most of the coolant out of the block without cracking open the drain plug on it, it's rusty i think I may might break.

    Not that I know of.
The 2.7 is a little better setup than the 4.0.
If you can get a wrench on piece sticking, and a wrench on the drain head, you’ll probably be fine.
If you can’t, or it’s just really rusted bad, just drain the radiator. Then do another fluid exchange in a few hundred miles. It cost more to do it that way, but what else are you going to do?
I guess you “could” disconnect the heater core hoses and blow it out, but that’s more work.
And I don’t mess with heater cores unless I absolutely have to.

I was thinking on the same lines it will cost more but i don't even want to know what it would take to repair that plug down there
