My girlfriend is getting me a regear for christmas, i have a I4 so i already have a 4:10 so im going with 4:56 to compensate for my 35's im getting in spring. What i would like to know is the gears are 158$ do i purchase two of the same thing which i think is right for both differentials and what else will i need? Will my factory bearings still work? or will i need new gaskets or anything like that? Or just get the gears n put em in? and my housing is the 8 inch right? thanks

i too would suggest ECGS. they will be getting my install business when you sell me the below...!! shoot, we should work it out so that they do our diffs at the same time so we dont have to worry about shipping the 4.10 ring/pinion back and forth!!

all over this, been looking for a 4.10 low mileage ring/pinion for a long time!! dont need the third, just the ring/pinion gears.

just sent you a pm, have money waiting...!! i want to install my LSD and these gears asap!!

Definitely go 4:88's for your 2.7L, I am currently running 4:88's with 35's and a 2.7L it would be a lot better with 5:29's only thing is they don't make them for our front diffs only the rear gear set is currently available. I have emailed a few gear manufacturers (Nitro, Precision, Yukon) and they say there is not enough demand for 5:29 front gears on the second gens. You will have no problem getting rid of your 4:10's they are in high demand for the 3:73 geared folks. I thought about 4:56's but am so glad I followed the advice of others and went with 4:88's. If you are planning on 35's go with 4:88's and email the above mentioned gear manufacturers asking when 5:29's will be available. I use ECGS as well for all my gear and locker needs ECGS will treat you right and have outstanding customer service.

at 70mph (corrected speed) I am at 3K rpms. So with 35s ull probably be around 2700. Im not sure about this but try googleing "gear chart" and u'll find some good info. I think most of these charts read a little high when it comes to rpms in my experience. Remember im runnin 32" tires tho
