OK, in brief. 2.7 01 DC. Truck started getting a 300&301 misfire code. Bad compression on #1. Then it ran hot (220 iirc) for a bit. Replaced Tstat, then 2 weeks later started throwing 303 code as well. Ran terrible.

End of story, leaky head gasket turns into cracks in head at #1 & #3, $1100 laters... turns into head replacement.

Question, should I look for anything when I pick up truck? Anything I should check? Should be finished today sometime.

Then longer term, should I notice any improvement in gas mileage/power? I suspect I will as the misfire(s) will be gone.
