Remove the steps and just step in. I’m 6’2” and my first mod was to remove the stupid running boards because they make things more difficult overall. Besides that I have no issue even after I put my lift on. Now instead of a plop down into the seat it’s a slight step up but still easy and still no running boards.

My buddy was complaining about this as well... knees hitting and was akward to get in...!!

I tried to get into his truck and found that he had the seat so far forward that I could not get in at all... I'm 6-1"....

Seems he drives with his elbows bent and face within 12" of the steering wheel...!! Told him to push the seat back before getting out and re-adjusting each time he gets back in, or JSTFU...(just Shut the ....Up)..!

When I drive, my arms are out a lot straighter. Almost fully extended..!!

I also find that the way to get in is to place R foot way in there first...almost to gas pedal..!! Works fer moi..!

I noticed I was leaning on the center console with my elbow to slide into the seat and was worried I will damage the lid some day. So I have been using the ebrake lever as a place to grab and lift my body off of the seat to get into position. 6' 3".

Dude, how are you 5’7” and bump you’re head getting into the truck?

Are you just making that up? Or are you pole vaulting into your seat?

I think you should make a YouTube video of you getting into your truck and post it so we can all see

    Work in progress...
I put my left foot on the tube thing grab the inside of that side air bag thing with my right hand. I then step and lift and at the pinnacle of my launch I let go with my right hand and quickly pull my left let up and in. If I stick this dismount I can earn an excellent score and thus the reason for the Go Pro mount has been solved.

6'4" and have bad knees that are overdue for being replaced according the ortho surgeons that I've consulted.

Drove a 4WD Frontier these past 10 years.

Bought a new Tacoma SR5 4WD two months ago after test driving all the full sized trucks.

Not having to use steps to get in/out is a huge bonus for me.

I simply walk up, open the door, park my arse in the seat and then rotate in. The left knee bend is noticeable but not as bad as it was in the Frontier.

Once I learned to walk with my ass cheeks, all was well. This is how I normally get in, with an initial flying knee move.

I had 0 difficulty before putting my sliders on. Now, if I want to keep my pants clean I will step onto the slider ... stand up completely, then sit down for the greatest ease. It probably looks weird to others, but I don't give a shit.

    I'm 6ft, and about 180.

My first test drive stopped me from buying when I had trouble getting in and the wheel was already as far as it will go. When I found the truck I wanted, I found a way to get in.

5’9” around 155. I found it easier to get in before I put the side steps on. I could get close enough to just pull up slightly and slide in. With the steps I am just far enough away that I feel like I’m diving in or I will bump my head if I use the steps.

I’m really considering removing them but then I’d hear it from the gf and vertically challenged friends who need the step to be normal height.
