Keep it and get the taco. Throw in some motorcycles too... best of all worlds.

You could always do a Audi coupe and a Tacoma like me :D

It is nice having both vehicles. My Tacoma is my daily. When I have that itch to drive a manual sports car, I’ll take my Audi out on the weekends. Driving both makes me appreciate each vehicle for its different purposes too.

For what it’s worth I got a Tacoma after years in a lowered SQ5. More of a sedan feel, but I kept the SQ5 and use my taco for everything.

Love it and even considering selling my Audi so the wife can upgrade as well.

    It is nice having two vehicles - 1st new car was a 2003 A4 Q 1.8 5sp - bought a heavily used 1998 Tacoma Prerunne 4 cyl for home improvement/bikes/wanted a Tacoma. Consolidated to a new 2014 4wd Sport - easy adjustment.

You will miss the speed, but that’s about it. Getting onto the on ramp or around the corners.

    I own a 2014 S7 (420hp) and a 2016 Tacoma Accesscab SR 4 cyl auto.

I drive the Tacoma twice as much as the Audi, but enjoy each for what it is.

    I won’t sell either one...

Hi Jamesly ... I traded my 2014 e350 Mercedes 4Matic for a 2018 Tacoma 4x4 SR V6 and I could not be happier. While my Benz was fast and attractive, it could not provide what I needed most: functionality and (dare I say) rugged good-looks. Best decision I've made in many years of owning luxury cars - to buy a dependable 4x4 truck that fits in my garage! Best of luck in your search. (PS: while I was test driving my Tacoma, a 5 series BMW owner pulled into the lot and started his journey too) ... IMO, life is short and I now want to use what I've been given in the most practical of ways (while owning a kick_ _ _ truck!)

I've been around VAGs most of my adult life. Also owned countless German performance cars and SUVs like Audi, VW, BMW, etc... Before buying my 19 Taco I've considered selling my current 2016 MK7 R 6-MT. At the end of the day I've decided to keep it, I need my "manual" fix, lol. Besides that, it has only 13k miles, tons of mods (400hp pocket rocket) and it's now paid off. Taco is great for what it offers but when I get behind the wheel of my Golf R I feel connected, younger, alive! I guess one thing is true for sure, once you go "German" you can't go back, no matter the age! Sometimes our "wants" can't coexists with our "cans", but if you can afford it, and you're a performance car enthusiast, keep the Audi and get the Taco, best of both wolds, IMO.

Had a 2016 M3 6MT and my Tacoma for a while and didn't drive the M often enough to justify it. Sold it and haven't really looked back, but the 992 911s look sweet!

Came from a built Wrx( ppg 1-5, 30r, e85, etc) and I freaking love my manual truck. Guess things change, I now see no need for 450+ hp "DAILY" where I spend alot of time outside fishing and hunting. I do brake for yellow lights now instead of dropping a few gears and letting the external wastegate scream...

    I went from a Z4 to a WRX to an X3 to a WRX to an MX5 to a...oh, wait, I haven't gotten a Tacoma yet.

I agree if you can keep a fun car alongside a utility vehicle that would be best. Having two you wouldn't be beating up the fun car so much, so it could play its natural role as a garage queen and weekend tourer.

I miss my WRX quite a bit, but I enjoy all different types of rides. I enjoy driving just about any MT no matter how big the vehicle.

Just my .02 if you want luxury and performance AND utility, and have a bit extra change in your pockets, a German SUV would fit the bill. I had a 2011 X3 i35 that was a performance monster for a small SUV, plus had most of the utility of a small truck. Yes it wouldn't haul 4x8's, but it would pull a trailer if I wanted it to. I did sell it with about 80K miles because I was concerned about costs of ownership, but if you can live with that, you have options.

BTW I do PLAN to get a Taco, hopefully very soon. I won't be getting rid of the '18 ND MX5 though.

Everyone made a very valid point, having both is ideal. I also have a '94 Porsche C2 that I will own forever and I can take that for a rip whenever I need a change from cruising in the Tacoma.

Had a 2016 Camaro SS, it was super fun in the summer, not practical at all for the kids or winter driving.
Traded it in on the Tacoma.

I went from a Jaguar xkr to the Taco. It's a very different driving experience, you just have to accept that. For example, when I get in the Tacoma and push start, the engine starts up every time. There is no ssortment of colored lights on the dash that I have to use a OBD reader to decipher. The taco is also better at driving for over an hour without stopping for some random reason. :)

Exactly. And this is why after 22 years I still have my MR2.

I went from a 2011 BMW 335is to a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road and I am glad that I did. Although I do miss the sportiness and ridiculous speed of the bimmer, I really enjoy driving this truck.

I still have the BMW though, the wife drives it now. Funny enough ever since I got the Tacoma a few months ago I haven't even been in the bimmer again.

I went from a 2015 challenger r/t with a manual tranny .going to a truck with a auto and less horse power made me wanna cry . After having it for 3 months now its starting to grow on me . I get a lot of Tacoma envy when I drive around compared to my r/t lol . Only reason I got rid of my r/t it was out of warranty and was having constant ac issues and weird clunking in the transmission around 43k miles . I wanted something more reliable and I wanted a truck again for awhile now. Coming from a sports car to a truck is difficult to get used to at first but over time u will get used to it .

I came from a B5 S4 M/T and a number of other sports cars. Once you understand that its a truck, you'll be fine. With that said, I love driving my Taco m/t as a daily and don't miss the audi at all. I will say that the audi with its AWD and snow tires was absolutely unstoppable in any kind of weather and i do miss that. I also love the steering and how 'connected' to the road you feel in the pilots seat.

I've got a TT RS and a TRD OR DCSB. The more I drive the Taco, the more I start to ponder selling the Audi.

It's a fantastic little car, but as with any sports car, minimal ground clearance and 20" tires make driveways, road hazards, and pot holes a nightmare that I don't worry about with the Taco.

Just last month, I hit a tire in the middle of the freeway at 70 mph in the dark and rain! Took out the center spoiler, but no other damage. $1,200 in damages.
