Getting my new taco road ready

    Yeah I'm going to try and actually look very closely at the rack and pinion to see if it needs replacing, or if i need to just do the bushings. But if I buy a new rack, I'll go OEM for sure. Thanks for your input!

    I'm going to do the fluid, but as of right now, the radiator looks pretty damn good. I'll check the hoses for dry rot and such, but truly this truck has been taken great care of and been a road hog its whole life. Though that doesn't explain the busted CV boots or oil on rack and pinion very well...

    You betcha, just thought I'd throw it out there. When you drain the coolant, definitely swap out that thermostat. Good luck, congrats on the new pickup.

    When you get an estimate on costs, it may be motivation enough to find the order in the chaos and figure it out. That did it for me! :-D
