    You don't need hub rings.

Methods are lugcentric. With the conical lug nuts that should be used with them they center themselves. Hub rings are typically used on applications where it is possible to put the wheel on slightly off center of lugs, or on applications where the wheels are hubcentric not lugcentric.

Also road force balancing doesn't need to be done on install. 99% of assemblies balance out fine. The only time it's an issue is when a tire has an exceptionally heavy spot in a tire and too much weight needs to be applied to the wheel. Most shops will tell you they road forced them but in reality didn't do it correct, so don't waste your money.

    Makes since I guess.
Are our studs rated for any kind of sheer force when lug centric wheels are used?

interesting. Thanks for the info. I assume the lug nuts I have are conical as well, and can be used for the methods? I've never taken a wheel off to check, brand new truck haha.

You will need new lug nuts for the methods.

What is the tire warranty? I only have experience with discount tire. I showed up years later with a tire out of manufacturer's warranty because i got a nail in it. They patched it and the patch failed so they gave me a brand new tire for free. They couldn't even find me in the system. Would a tire warranty have skipped the patch all together even if it is out of the manufacturer's warranty period?

Is there a specific vendor you can recommend for me to order some from? Or maybe the shop will have them..

Shop should have them. Ask for ET or extra thread lugs, they will give you more turns on the lugs because they have shanks that actually go into the bore of the wheel.

You asked what to look out for, so I mentioned gas milage. Depending on how aggressive the new treads are, your gas milage is the first thing to go. I know your tires are stock size but any bigger wider tires put a real drain on power.

Have you ever run anything larger than stock? I'm just curious if I have horrible luck or if maybe it's just this tire but I've had balancing issues multiple times with my General Grabber 265/70's from multiple places until I had them road force balanced. OP do what you want ultimately, but it didn't cost me anything extra for the road force balance which in my opinion is the only way to go.

Yep, I've had 35's on my truck since day 1, and worked at tire shop for 4 years in high school and college.

For those looking for update pics, unfortunately I don't have any yet :( turns out i did need new lug nuts - the ones off of the SR5 alloy wheels are not compatible with these methods. I'll go into more detail tomorrow when I take some pics of the problem. Had to drive to a different auto store to pick some up and ran out of time - going in tomorrow at 8AM to finally get it done. Thanks again for all the help so far.
