How many miles do you have on your current Duratracs? Debating if they will be my next tire or not...

Just throwing it out there because I heard this being said a few days ago by professionals at the Baja 500: "I don't get flats. I run Goodyears."

Also overheard: "These Grabbers suck. Good for malls. I'm sponsored by them but they suck."

and they wear pretty well on the road? cuz like i said, i need something to last a while. and not much mud/rock around here that you can tear up. maybe ill be doing sand again next year in obx. but unless the guys take another trip soon, i wont be hitting any mud or rock. i got a prerunner as well, so the best mud tire isnt what im lookin for either. just something that looks tough but performs well on the road

Yeah, I was a bit shocked, too, 'cause I've heard good things. These guys go through them like underwear, though. The rl's were on chase vehicles, while the Goodyear's were on the actual race car.

i mean like i said if the at2's are so inexpensive that they win me over, then thayll be the winner, but so far im lookin for the nittos. got a few guys at work that have them on their trucks, my boss has them on his excursion and even with all the weight, they wear really well and they are pretty quiet on the road, heard the same from a customer with a tundra with them.

Yeah, they definitely LOOK good, but I can't speak from experience about their use. Hell, I'm still running Rugged Fails. Guy's advice swayed me, though, when I DO get new tires.

yea man u really cant go wrong with the nittos either. they are both great tires imo. But after you think of which is the better performing then i go for how they would look. i know sounds lame. but as long as u know ur getting an good performing tire then looks are the next thing. Thats how i went about it anyway. and i just thought the at2's had a more aggressive profile to them.

i think they are actually pretty quiet i never hear them. i have run the old style mtr from good year on a frontier that was better insulated than the taco is and they hummed a bit to say the least. the dura tracs aren't bad at all i did not notice any real noise with them.

i mean performance is why i was lookin at bfg and nitto, and grabbers look sweet haha. they all have a badass lookin tread. but i kinda like the sidewalls on the nittos, plus if i remove the mud flaps, i think theyll look badass from behind, just cuz its a rugged lokin tread pattern
