I still have some road paint on my FJ from several years back. Never tried to remove it. With it being 12 years old, I just look at it as another mark on the journey in its life.

Cleaned my whole 92 extended cab with WD-40 after being downwind of a painting project. Worked great, just took a while. Just took my time and didn't rub too hard with a microfiber towel. It had one hell of a shine when finished though.

Had something similar happen last month but it was a 5gal bucket of paint (that apparently fell off some idiots truck or trailer) and exploded all over the road.

thoughts on using WD40 on plastic fender flares? I dont have it all around and wasnt sure how well it cleaned off or if it would look streaky.

Honestly, i would just use mildly abrasive polish or rubbing compound to remove paint stains. Then wax and seal afterwards.

I have used a clay bar with spray wax on my dads 2018 Tahoe, the paint had been on there for a couple weeks and was splattered on the paint in a bunch of small dots. the other methods sound as if they will work but they also sound very harsh on the paint. I only used the clay bar on the paint, for the plastic step it was too rough to use the clay bar on so i got a plastic scraper and just scraped it off. it was also yellow road paint liek you stated. can you post pictures of how much paint is on the vehicle?

Wives are good for that kind of thing. We have a neighbor that lets their dog crap in our yard every morning before we wake up, and never picks it up despite us asking before. I was about to get up early one morning and run out there with a latex glove on and smear her dog's shit in her face, but my wife reminded me that I'd probably get arrested for assault.

Not much plastic on the old 92 but I am doubt it would streak. Just give it a good wash with some dish soap and re wax.

Did you ever get it off? If not, Schaeffers Citrol degreaser is some of the best stuff on the planet, I've been using it for years and it won't hurt your paint or clear coat.

This right here if I knew who was doing it I’d at least bag and leave it where it belongs!

At the very least I will make sure you step in YOUR shit
