I want that new Challenger bad. Someone on here has an 09 on order. I was saving up for one of the Challengers when I just couldn't take it anymore and bought the Taco. The new Camaro is awful sweet lookin too.

Hey 314, I hump wheelbarrows of concrete all day and have the same work ethic, I take tremendous pride in running the "lads" in the ground, not too long ago I just hit this wall, and pooped out. That hurt, and to think I was invincible, I used to have guys around me saying that they could not believe I pulled that off, now I just do my job, lay low and have moved into this position of wise old man/ trainer. :(

I'm only 26 and i feel like i'm having an "early life crisis". i want a new job and a new place to live and all new friends and i wanna move somewhere far away. there's nothing wrong with my life but i'm just bored i guess. need some adventure. i think that "mid-life crisis" feeling can sneak up on anybody at anytime. especially if you're ina routine, you can feel the need to break out of it, sometimes its an almost violent desire to break the routine. nothing to worry about, just change some things up

Yes, after looking into MLC a bit, it can happen earlier, and some believe it can just be any crisis. I think for me right now its more thoughts about career choice(a little bit job satisfaction, appreciation, several of the maint. personell feel like we`re a necessary evil by management). Also thoughts about mortality( & getting older), I not long ago increased my Life Ins. policy. And another biggy is the fact that my mentor (25+ yrs experience)took a job in another dept. I`m sure I`ll do fine(keep telling myself anyway)though,I tend to be concerned about things that turn out never to be an issue.
As for the age factor and my ability to do less than I could 10+ years ago I know what squad314 & jedi are talking about, I split wood a couple times (old fashioned way)last year and paid for it for a few days after.

I know what you mean. even though i'm relatively young i cant do things as easily as 6 or 7 years ago. i use to love snowboarding, even though i sucked. when i fell i would just bounce right back up with no problem. i was like a bouncy ball, the second my ass hit the snow i was back up and moving again. i tried going about a year ago though and was miserable. every time i went down i woudl just lay there wishing a bear would eat me. by noon my wrists, elbows and knees felt like they had all been run over by a truck. it just sucks being able to actually tell you cant do what you use to in your younger days. oh well, thats why they made kids.... a free source of labor. just make your kids chop wood next time and you sit inside and drink a beer and watch tv :)

If i did i'd have to sell hte truck. i cant afford to live unless i get another good job. maybe after i get the truck and student loans paid off i will quit and move to virginia.

i can see the headlines now... "Drunk American eaten after taunting and mooning a grizzly bear, Canadian Bystander simultaniously dies from a laughter induced heart attack"

It only gets worse boys! It's never too late to join a fitness club and start working out so you'll feel rejuvenated! ;):D:D:D

Actually, I joined a fitness club two months ago. For only $10 a month - I couldn't resist to atleast give it another try. All I need is the weightlifting stuff and the cardio...I don't need a pool, I don't need a spa, or hot tub (although, I'd use it if they did).

ndcouch - are you married? If not....we gotta find you a woman to keep you busy!! :p

I guess at the age of 28, I'm one of the "whippersnappers", but I can relate to much of what's on this thread. My job keeps me in shape (tons, literally, of lifting, walking, running) so a gym won't do much for me. I just can't do what I could do 10 years ago. IT SUCKS!!! Work, concern for the future, being a husband and parent, need or want for change, etc...., it's all taking it's toll on me and I know this is just the beginning.
