I have a 2006 Tacoma....A while back, I put a 3" suspension lift on it and in doing so, it caused the stock U-Bolts to be too short (not enought extra thread space on the ends of the bolts)....I had some custom U-Bolts made that are longer.....When I put those on, do I need to remove the rear wheels, or anything else for that matter???

    Thanks!

If you're spring over, you won't need to do anything but undo the old ones & install the new ones. However, rather than struggle under the truck, I'd do it right and use jack stands under the axle & remove the tires/wheels to make life easy. Definitely don't use lock washers with the new u-bolts and torque them to at least 70 ft. lbs. and paint the threads so they'll come apart easy next time. Torque your wheels too when done. How much did you pay for these custom u-bolts and I assume they are 1/2"..?
