Hello TacomaWorld. I am planning on buying a 2020 tacoma DCSB trd off road. Considering it will probably be the same considering suspension. I want to get a 3" lif front and 2" lift in the back to keep some rake. I am looking for a really nice plush ride. planning on doing moderate rock crawling about once or twice a month. No high speed off-roading. My budget is about 3,000 for suspension including anything necessary like UCA, LCA, Diff drop and any other modification that might be necessar . I've been looking for a while but everything to me is new and i feel overwhelmed. Any advice or constructive criticism about my post will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! You’re going to get a wide range of opinions on which lift you should purchase. The search button at the top of the page can help you out as you can see the various lifts people have chosen. If you’re doing moderate rock crawling, you’ll most likely want to include some rock sliders in your budget. Otherwise, your rocker panels/doors will take a beating.

Thank you! Yes sir, i have already seoarated a budget for that. Been looking at the Relation Race Wheels Rock sliders with kick back. And for wheels and tires I've been looking at RRW RR5-V +0 offset in bronze wrapped with 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers

I'd make sure I want the vehicle before I'd get too involved in modifying it. What If you find out you don't actually like Tacomas, or that the particular Tacoma you purchased was a lemon.

Very true. How long do you think would be a good waiting period. 1yr - 3yrs?

I would say do it day 1 so you get max resale value on your OEM suspension and OEM wheels/tires.

I regret not spending the money on kings, and a mid travel setup instead of buying old man emu. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to shocks.

Yes I did sell factory suspension and tires. Keep the wheels.

I also wouldn't buy cbi anything, I like quality custom service, and theirs in my opinion, based on my own experience, is that the CS is garbage.

I also wouldn't buy rrw sliders. They appear to be to close to the body, and their hardware ships grade 5. Seeing as they are bolt on, I think the should come with grade 8. they arent true bolt on sliders. In thier instructions it states that for full use, you need to drill the frame. My cbi sliders that I waited 6 months for at least completely bolt on, with grade 8 hardware, that was provided.

I like the ridge grapplers. I had ko2s before but must have got a bad set cause they wouldn’t stop vibrating. I had them balanced multiple times and even road force balanced. I’m sticking with the grapplers.

I have fox 2.5 in front and 2.0 in rear. That are great on and off road. If I do it again I’ll get 2.5 in the rear. Also did CMC and ECGS bearing.
