Starting to get stuff mounted up for some adventures. Been driving around to see how thing ride. Gas can is empty but seeing how it's only one gallon it's not heavy when full (and yes I know the spout is down right now). Thoughts and ideas welcome.

I hope that's not all your gear... :)

Do you have a hi-lift or other such recovery gear? That stuff matters more when you're traveling alone, though, so it all depends on the type of adventures you plan on.

Do you plan to carry more gas than that? Personally, I wouldn't even bother with a 1 gallon tank unless you have more somewhere else. I prefer a good ol 5 gallon jerry can, although I haven't been traveling far enough out that I need supplemental gas anyway.

Nope, just the stuff that I’ve mounted so far. One gallon is all I’m going to carry due to storage space and I figure it gets me 15 miles closer to civilization.

Didn't want to get roof rack? I have a 5 gallon gas can for the price of that one rotopax and it's made out of stronger material from front runner.
Here a picture of the jerry cans one red 5 gallon gas can and one black 5 gallon water can on a double mount (I have the same set-up, but I am waiting for frontrunner to send me a part that was missing):

You can technically mount it anywhere you want, but roof rack seems to be the most popular choice.

Did you make or purchase the brackets that you attached the quickfists to? If purchased... where?
