So to speak. Alright so I figured that would get some attention. My 07 tacoma has this horrible plastic tape type door sill protectors. I just received my G-Tek DSPs that are awesome. Problem though when I removed the current ones it basically left behind a stamp of itself in adhesive. It was probably 50 degrees or so and I had a hair dryer on it as I pulled but it was a major fail. I have spent a good hour with goo-gone and a rag trying to get it all off and I'm not even done with the drivers door, let alone the other three. Any recommendations? I pulled the truck in the garage and cranked the garage heat to hopefully bring the temp up to help. Any other recommendations are appreciated. Thanks.

Hunter 4x4 stainless steel bull bar with KC 324, 20" LED light bar. Undercover Classic Bed Cover.
You can get it at NAPA in the body repair section- I think its a quart can.
Pour some on a rag and lay it on the glue for a few minutes then wipe it off- it won't hurt the paint. Clean with warm soapy water when done.
DO NOT GET ANY SPARKS OR OPEN FLAME NEAR THE TAPE REMOVER

I found the easiest and fastest although priciest method to remove residue from pinstripping or emblems is the 3M pinstripping wheel. Don't see why it wouldn't work in your application:

WD-40 works good too. I know we had some tar stuff on a boat carpet at a marina I worked at, and after I threw everything I knew at it, my boss comes up with some CRC stuff that he said was basically WD-40, and it came right up

^^ This ^^ If it could help me to easily remove 20yo baked on pinstripes from my old 4runner, i think it can handle some 7yo glue.

WD40 removes adhesives and you will find other uses for WD40 afterwards ... Unlike other products that are only to remove adhesive
    Then again... It's your money

Followed by a healthy coat of a quality sealer glaze and wax.
The acetone will COMPLETELY strip the paint of any protection.
