    It's getting there.

Yeah, I didn't drop the bumper. If you're willing to jam your hands up and not replace one of the steel retainers like I did, you can do it with the bumper on the truck.

Here's a picture of the truck right now in the rain after ~3 months of the plasti-dip being on.

I replaced the chrome caps with the black caps from the SR model on my 16 and 17 quicksand OR. The bumper caps matched the black unfinished fender flares perfectly. Both times I paid around $160 shipped for a set of black caps from camelback Toyota and was able to sell my chrome caps to members on here for around $100 so really only cost $60 and is a hell of a lot better than plastidip.

Just my opinion but I wouldn't plastidip anything on my truck even if you paid me.

Just do it...you won't regret it. Where on the treasure coast are you? Just spent a week in Stuart, very nice area!

    eh,

I've used plastidip on a lot of stuff over the years. It holds up well over a decent amount of time, it's cheap, it protects whatever is under it and it's completely reversible. I don't get the distaste, if you take your time and make sure that the surfaces are clean, you can get a professional result pretty easily. Your solution works well too, but I still have 52 dollars and my original chrome caps and we've got the same result. If for some reason you need chrome caps, you're gonna have to buy them again and I can just peel off the dip and it's back to bright and shiny.

Nothing against you or plastidip it's just not for me. We all have our own opinions and preferences. I do however like the fact that it's not permanent.

Sounds about right. I too prefer factory solutions, but like the chrome grill I dislike, I'm having a hard time justifying the cost to swap to a TRD Pro one.

I live just north of Stuart, I commute during the week to Palm Beach, and eventually will move to Jupiter. Palm beach is too crowded, Treasure coast is too distant; Jupiter seems like a good compromise.

You have "IL" in your profile, I went to "A" school in Great Lakes, and had plenty (maybe too much) fun in Chicago. Yeah, you should just move to Florida.

If it was up to my wife and kids we would move. Personally, I would rather live about 30 miles inland from Stuart on an acreage. My best friend moved there 3 years ago so we visit him at least once a year. He also drives to WPB for work but wanted to live in Martin County for lower taxes and less congestion.

I can see that logic, and it is sound.
